Five of us felt exceedingly fortunate and jubilant to have the opportunity to visit Uganda, assist in local community projects helping families with disabled children and run a marathon.

Congratulations and thank you to Layla, Anya, William and Jane for taking part in the challenge and especially for their heroic efforts raising over £2500 for the projects.

On June 4 2017, Anya, Jane, Layla, William and Peter will take part in The Uganda Marathon – a week long event that starts with several days of volunteering for community projects and culminates in a great race joining 3000 local runners in what will be – in heat, altitude and hilly terrain – one of the greatest physical challenges of our lives.

We chose to support a project that focuses on holistic support for Ugandan families with mentally and physically disabled children. If you’d like to learn more about the cause please visit our group fundraising page where you can also choose one of our team to support with a donation.
