Flashback to last Friday, when we were up in York for the reopening Station Hall 🚂

One of 's main gallery spaces, Station Hall had been closed for two years following an £11m renovation. We came on board to PR the reopening of this beloved space, and to support the museum on its 50th anniversary.

Birch will share the story of his latest book, Gilbert & George and the Communists, recalling his lively (at times absolutely wild!) experience of introducing the pair to a Soviet Union in decline and a China on the rise, with neither country knowing quite was about to hit them, artistically or politically. This event will be chaired by .
