One Hot Afternoon πβοΈππΎ
After working in the heat all day, I finally sat down to rest and quietly reflect on life.
As a proper Nigerian, I was busy calculating my future and feeling sorry for myself. π
Then my Colombian colleague and friend, Kemu, showed me a photo on her phone and asked:
"Margaret, do you know this person?"
I looked.
It was . π³π₯
Listen, my tired body, soul, and spirit came back to life immediately!
I shouted, "Of course I know him!"
Then she said, "I love him too."
At that point, all productivity ended. π
The next thing we were dancing and vibing to Kizz Daniel songs right at work.
Now here's the problem...
I cannot dance to save my life. ππ
But thankfully, Kemu isn't Nigerian, so she didn't know that what I was doing wasn't actually dancing.
Meanwhile, in my head, I was performing at the O2 Arena. ππΎπ€£
Then she asked me to teach her the dance moves!
A Nigerian who can't dance teaching a Colombian how to dance to Kizz Daniel songs... what could possibly go wrong? π
Thankfully, she loved every move and we had so much fun.
What started as a hot, exhausting afternoon turned into one of the happiest moments of my day.
Music truly has no borders. β€οΈπΆ
Thank you for making music that connects people from different parts of the world. π
