Finished the year back with mum and dad (for the first time in 10 years) starting my second business - helping business owners and professionals build their dream personal brand 👌

Networking was the bread of butter of my previous business and where some of my best clients originated from. Also a bloody fantastic source of referrals.

Same time zone, much cheaper than the UK and of course better weather! ☀️ What more could you ask for? Although it is raining here today in Porto! 😂I’m here this week helping clients build their personal brand and building up my FREE email list. Thanks NY Times for that one 😉

If you’d told me years ago that Zuck, the hoodie-wearing, robot-talking billionaire, would evolve into an MMA-training, socially self-aware (mostly) leader, I would’ve laughed you off…

Back in the day, Zuck's wardrobe inspired a lot of jokes. The same t-shirt every day.

And to be fair, this was a clever personal brand in itself, take a look at Mr Jobs and his 🐢 necks.

Relatable? Maybe not.

Efficient? Absolutely.

By 2018, we saw Zuck 2.0 emerge, swapping hoodies for suits and tech jargon for PR-approved talking points.

The goal? Less robot, more human.

Sure, it’s easier to do all this as a billionaire and my aim isn’t to ‘bling’ you up or teach you MMA…

But if Zuck can evolve his personal brand so can you. And I’ll help you stand out, find your voice, and show up on social media like never before attracting your perfect clients through a strong personal brand. 💪

A busy day last Friday! Straight after my presentation with Exeter Business Club I hotfooted it to a free Google workshop event.

🩵 Sharing is caring so here are THREE super valuable tips that I took away from it:

Struggling to identify your target audience?

1️⃣ Use ‘Google Trends’ to find what your ideal clients are searching for and build a client persona. This helps you engage the right people, not just reach them.

2️⃣ LinkedIn acts like a search engine so use specific keywords related to your industry to rank higher in searches and position yourself as the go-to expert. I recall this from my recruitment days, super important.

3️⃣ Creating a ‘Google Business Profile’ boosts your visibility and credibility. It’s an easy way to let potential clients find you and leave reviews, which is key 🔑 in social selling.

Social proof builds that credibility, am I right?

When I started my first business, many told me to ‘play it safe’ and even avoid social media.

BUT instead, I took a different path! I chose to connect directly with my audience, addressing their needs and building trust through social media.

❌ This isn’t to say you shouldn’t listen to others; valuable advice can make all the difference! But sometimes, you have to question and refine it.

🫵 Ultimately, YOU’RE the one who knows what’s best for you. Trust yourself, take calculated risks, and NEVER underestimate the power of speaking directly to your audience.
