⏱️Did you know how little patience people have these days? Well, it’s probably even less than you think. 😂

⏱️When you’re making video content, bear in mind that most people need to be captivated in the first three seconds (or even less than that!) If they’re going to stick around, watch the full video, give it a like - and at best, follow you, you need to make the viewers curious and intrigued.⚡️

⏱️Keep your content short and concise where you can if it’s a reel or short form video content. Remember that those first 3 seconds are absolutely crucial to the success! Make those first seconds count by quickly engaging the audience with something super engaging or visually exciting. You could use words at the start of the video that have a witty or controversial feel to draw people in but there are many ways of making people stay.

⏱️Before you start making your content today, make those first three seconds count! 🔥

A throwback to the interview I did with Simon Patterson and John Askew last summer for VII. I loved hearing more about Nifra as a new addition to the label. I always love hearing about the success of women in our scene! ✨I am excited to interview more artists in 2025. Who would you like me to speak with next? Grace xx

We all feel most comfortable in our ‘comfort zone’ and that comes to most things in life.

For social media, it’s no different. We often get stuck in a rut with certain content that we know we feel comfortable with. But if you want different results, you must do different things. How can you expect to get higher engagement with the same content and without breaking out of that comfort zone you may have been living in?

🩷Try new things - use a test and learn approach.
🩷Check out other creators and see what works for them. Why not try making a reel in the same sort of style but with your own authentic touch?
🩷Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. The best content comes from people being themselves and being vulnerable.
🩷Use TikTok - it’s a very different platform to Instagram and Facebook, but don’t rule it out. You may feel it’s ’not you’ or believe the audience won’t relate to you. You may be surprised by how successful you can be on TikTok and the new potential fans and followers you can earn and appeal to!
🩷Take risks - we must push forward and keep things new and fresh. You will only regret the risks you didn’t take!

In the summer, I was really honoured to have the opportunity to interview Simon Patterson and John Askew at E1. I’m excited to visit the venue again this weekend for the huge VII show ❤️.

In this part of the interview, it was amazing to hear Simon talk about his sobriety and his journey to getting there as he achieved one year of being sober. I’m so in awe of Simon for being so brave, it takes so much to open up in such a vulnerable way. He is an inspiration for that. ❤️

I get it - you’re a perfectionist. I am too! I can spend hours reading over a post that I’ve written. I have spent so much time going over and over my TikTok videos before posting - making the tiniest of changes and then when I post it, I’m often still not happy. 😂

It may seem like a strange thing to advise but when it comes to posting regularly on social media, consistency is so important. If you feel that your content isn’t perfect or if you’re not sure how long it will be until you have the best quality piece of content possible, perhaps it’s better to post something than nothing at all. ✨

If we spend our whole time waiting for a video or social media post to be absolute perfection, it means we can lose consistency in our posting and a reduction in engagement.✨

My advice to you would be - if you’re not sure what you want to write but know you want to post something:
🩷Keep it simple - quality is nearly always better than quantity!
🩷Use bullet points to break up your copy.
🩷Don’t be scared to repurpose older content if you are struggling to find new content to post and find new ways to make it relevant, for example as a memory post.

I’m so grateful for moments like these. 💙 it was a pleasure to support with the socials on Saturday for Trance Sanctuary. It was an amazing day for me as I also got to do a couple of mini interviews, including with the wonderful Cold Blue at the legendary club Ministry of Sound💙✨
