Congratulations to Darren Bisson on winning our May Photo of the Month competition with his stunning image of a fisherman in British Columbia.

Darren’s photo of expert salmon fisherman Lee in the wilds of British Columbia, Canada, beautifully illustrated our theme Alfresco Moments. Miles up a stunning Pacific fjord - past whales, sea lions, eagles and bears - lies a river only reachable from the ocean. On this golden day in British Columbia, the sun was perfect, the cast was perfect, and for one brief moment, Lee's fly line formed the shape of a fish. Some moments can't be planned.

Darren owns a fishing lodge where people come to fish salmon. His passion for adventure takes anglers off the beaten path, away from the crowds, to experience world-class fishing while enjoying a deeper connection with nature and the surrounding pristine wilderness.
