For some reason most founders think they need to look perfectly polished and have it all together online in order to make sales on social media.

I’m calling that out for the bo****ks that it is 😂

And I’ve always called bu****it on that, but I’m shouting it from the rooftops now more than ever because of all the AI slop that’s floating around.

People are getting sick of seeing the same janky looked AI generated videos and images.

And they’re craving connection.

So why not put down Chat GPT and / or Claude for a moment, pick up your phone, and film a video where you are talking like a human being to another human being?

I promise you, it’ll get you more clients online in the long run that crappy AI posts ever will.

Quickest to do list EVER 😂

What I have found though (especially over the last 21 days of The Show Up Club Summer Sales Challenge) is that a lot of business owners are waaayyy over complicating it when it comes to making sales on social media.

Because you don’t need a fancy funnel or a email nurture sequence (they’re cool but not essential).

What you DO need is this:

đŸȘ© A clear idea of ONE person you want to speak to, who has one problem and is looking for one solution

đŸȘ© Then you want to speak directly to that person in your IG stories as if you were on FaceTime to them

đŸȘ© When you’re speaking to them, speak directly to their wants in a way they can easily understand (aka stop using fancy jargon that sound cool but means f**k all really)

đŸȘ© And then position an easy solution for them in a way that speaks to the feelings they’ll get when they achieve the result you’re offering

In other words

Speak like you’re a human being speaking to another human being.

Simplify to amplify - it really is that easy đŸ’â€â™€ïž

The businesses making the biggest impact aren’t always the loudest in my opinion đŸ™…â€â™€ïž

They’re the ones that know how to communicate their value so damn clearly that the RIGHT people remember them, recommend them and buy from them.

That’s what founder marketing is really about.

Not chasing the algorithm, not copying every trend that pops up on your feed and definitely not trying to become an influencer.

But building enough trust that when someone needs what you offer, your name is the first one that comes to mind.

That’s the future I’m obsessed with helping founders create - one where your content opens doors to speaking opportunities, collaborations, dream clients and introductions because people FINALLY understand the value you bring.

If you have an “I help” but you don’t have a mission statement, take this as your sign to make one.

Because an “I help X do Y by Z” statement is amazing when you’re introducing yourself - but doesn’t do a lot to motivate you to get out of bed on the bad days.
‹And it doesn’t do a lot to motivate you to keep showing up on social media on the days where you feel like you’d just shouting into the void.

And it definitely doesn’t push you to pull up your big girl pants and put yourself out there 👀

But when you have a strong AF mission, you not only have a driving force behind what you do - but you’ve also got something so sexy to communicate with your audience that they can connect with.
