Why doesn't Rolls-Royce advertise like Toyota?
🧑🧑🧒🧒 Toyota needs scale.
👤 Rolls-Royce needs selectivity.
Toyota's advert uses bright colours, multiple vehicles and a "Back to School" message to appeal to as many people as possible. It's designed to feel relatable and fit into everyday life.
Rolls-Royce takes the opposite approach.
Muted colours, a luxury residential setting and almost no copy. The advert isn't trying to explain the car - it's reinforcing a lifestyle of exclusivity, privacy and status.
The lesson?
Luxury brands often don't need more attention.
They need the right environment, the right audience and the right context.
☝️ That’s why we built the FLM Network.
Which advert do you think is more effective for its intended audience?
