Many clients first come to me when they are changing jobs, moving industries or stepping into leadership roles. With clients realising a new role also means a new dress code.

Often people struggle for adjectives to describe how they want to feel and look, so here are a few to get you thinking. Polished, put-together, sharp, cool, elevated, creative and above all authentic.

Getting dressed shouldn’t feel difficult.
But sometimes… it really does.😳

Especially on important days for work, an important client facing, meeting, presenting or a special event. Where the lady thing you need is stress about what to wear.

It’s rarely because you don’t have enough clothes.
It’s because what you do have no longer feels quite right. So you end up rotating the same outfits again and again. 💡

Suits, cars and shoes! 🙂

A visit to yesterday. Can you guess which car is worth around 4 million? Yellow, blue, red or turquoise?

I have no technical car knowledge, so I spent the whole day going on about the lovely yellow or white one 😀

Followed by a pit stop to Harvey Nichols for drinks and to collect a couple of items for a concierge client.

Style shouldn’t be complicated, especially with the right system in place. ✨

Many of my male and female clients don’t realise how much stress comes from deciding what to wear each day, until it’s gone. Then they see just how much mental space it was taking up. 💡

Many of my client systems stem from my fashion designer days. To get the finance side of a company to invest in your garments, you had to create confidence in the range. This required you to produce range plans and outfit builds.

Now I these skills to create outfit and style guides for clients through Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. 🎨

Client guides can be downloaded and printed, making it easy to plan what to wear for work, presentations and travel. ✈️

This is just one of the skills I’ve carried through from my fashion designer days.

Skirts are back!!! Which look is your favourite?

Did they go away 🤔yes,
apart from the ubiquitous satin slip style, styles have been noticeably absent for the past few years. So for all those skirt fans we are finally in a skirt season.

With skirts for work, everyday, summer, special occasions and nights out. and in a variety of lengths - not just midi. Even asymmetric which covers all lengths at once 😀

Knowing how to outfit a skirt is key - because unlike trousers, trainers won’t always work. It’s all about proportion, the right shoes, and styling choices that keep the look feeling modern and balanced

It's been a while so I thought I'd reintroduce myself.

I’m Lisa O’Shaughnessy, a qualified personal stylist and former fashion designer for well-known brands. I set up Always Stylish to help men and women show up as the best version of themselves. Because when you feel great in what you wear, it really does positively impact so many areas of your life.

I started my styling business in 2014 after training with Aston & Hayes, who at the time were world leaders in image consulting. I was already working as a freelance fashion designer, so I ran both side by side for 4 years. Frantic at times, but worth it. 🙂 Styling both men and women.

Today I focus on personal styling for busy men and women and style talks for companies. Still designing but this time bespoke pieces for private clients.

What sets me apart from other stylists is my 360 degree experience. From an idea in my head to creating a garment to styling said garment on a client. A unique duel perspective 🙂

My aim is simple. To solve wardrobe frustrations, build confidence, and make sure what you wear reflects who you are now. Everything I do is completely personalised.

I’ve worked in fashion my whole career, and despite TV stereotypes saying otherwise, most of us, especially in design, are grounded, empathetic and friendly. We also don’t look like models - that tends to be the actual models 😀. Which is exactly why I believe style is for everyone.

I am mum to a teen girl, and dog mum to an ageing Labrador and a mischievous sausage dog 🐶 I hate having my photograph taken and I'm really interested in herbal 🌱medicine. I love helping people feel good on the inside and look great on the outside.

common for clients to instinctively choose their best
colours, this issue is combining them. I demonstrate
how to go beyond colour + black/navy/denim. To
create impactful colour looks that are especially
helpful in a professional setting.

Even if a store doesn’t have a private room, a changing space will be set up with items for you to try as soon as you arrive. 🥰
