I founded the business in 2014 after 13 years in the retail sector managing online sales departments – it’s hard to believe I have over 20 years ecommerce experience. When I started the business building ecommerce websites, it was like the wild west with confusing jargon and overpriced poor service being the norm. I wanted to help small business get online, offering simple to understand products and services that make it easy for them to sell and generate leads through their website for a reasonable price.

As We Are The Missing Link celebrate 14 years, I’ve seen many changes and technological advancements that make it easier than ever to shop and do business online. Some things haven’t changed. Confusing jargon and cowboys still exist, and you can easily spend your money on something that you really don’t need. I still offer simple and easy to understand advice with a service and products that I believe are great value and will give you an excellent return on your investment.

As the team grows from me to we, our aims haven’t changed.

We aren’t a one and done website builder. We are committed to building a long term partnership with you, offering products that will help you get more sales and leads online and give you more time and freedom to further grow your business.

Can’t believe the conversation I had with Mr Macklin in the car yesterday, coming back from a meeting.

Ooh he says had an email from Krystal, our hosting provider and we’ve had another tree planted. We've got a small little forest!! (ok so its not actually ours but the trees are real and they are growing!)

I was thinking this is amazing I didn't know this! (nil points for PR!)

Turns out Krystal are pretty green with big ambitions to protect the planet.

We chose Krystal as they are a UK business, have great support and their security is top notch. They are a family owned business and not a mega corporate that doesn't care.

In 2017 they became one of the first website hosts to be powered by 100% renewable electricity from the sun, wind and sea. This means no shady carbon offsetting. As they’ve expanded into additional facilities around the world they have made sure they were powered entirely by renewable energy too.

Of course, it does mean that it isn't the cheapest. But we think they are the best for our customers.
