If there's one thing many of my clients ask for, it's help finding great dresses.

I've spent some time pulling together an M&S dress edit for all four colour seasons to help make the process a little easier.

Occasion shopping and dress shopping can come with a surprising amount of pressure. We imagine the photographs, the compliments, the memories attached to the event. Knowing your colours won't magically make every dress perfect, but it can make finding the right one feel a lot simpler.

My hope with these edits is always the same. Not to encourage more shopping, but to help you feel more confident when you do choose to shop.
Save this for later because dress season always arrives faster than expected.
Share it with a friend who knows her season.

And let me know which shop you'd like to see featured next.

A good top can completely change how an outfit feels.

I've been digging through River Island and found some fantastic options for every subseason. If you are a Winter type then there are some really lovely pieces that could slot beautifully into your palette.

One of the things colour analysis has taught me is that shopping becomes far more enjoyable when you're no longer second-guessing every purchase. You stop chasing trends and start building a wardrobe that genuinely works for you.

As always, this edit is intended to inspire rather than pressure.

Save it for the next time you're looking for a top and need a little colour guidance.

Share it with someone who knows their season.

And comment below with the next retailer you'd like me to edit.

Autumns, you are absolutely spoiled for choice at Oliver Bonas right now.

I've created this edit with all three Autumn subseasons in mind because there are some gorgeous earthy, rich and warm pieces available at the moment.

One of the reasons I love colour analysis so much is that it helps take some of the emotion out of shopping. Instead of wondering whether you'll regret a purchase, you have a palette you can trust. A shortcut back to the colours that make you look healthy, vibrant and like yourself.

Remember, these posts are here to inspire, not to encourage unnecessary spending. Save them for the next time you're looking for something new and use them as a guide.

Save for later.

Share with an Autumn.

DUBLIN, I'M COMING BACK!

I'll be returning to Dry & Fly, Spencer Dock, Dublin on Thursday 19th and Friday 20th November and appointments are already selling fast.

One of the things I hear most often from clients is that colour analysis didn't just change their wardrobe. It changed how they saw themselves. Having a palette you can trust makes shopping simpler, styling easier and getting dressed far more enjoyable.
My goal has always been to make colour analysis practical, personal and approachable. Every consultation comes with a comprehensive bespoke colour plan designed to help you confidently use your colours in everyday life.
If you'd like to see what the experience is like before booking, watch my colour analysis consultation with Lily Pebbles via the link in my bio.
I'd love to see you in Dublin this November.

Shopping gets a lot easier when you know your colours.

I've been browsing Topshop and found some gorgeous dresses that would work beautifully across the different colour seasons. From bright and vibrant Spring shades to the rich depth of Autumn and the cool elegance of Summer and Winter, there are some fantastic options available right now.

One of the biggest misconceptions about colour analysis is that it limits your choices. In reality, it does the opposite. Instead of feeling overwhelmed by hundreds of options, you start spotting the pieces that are naturally going to work for you.

That's exactly why I create these edits.

Not to encourage you to buy more.

Not to create pressure.

But to help you build confidence in your choices and make shopping feel simpler.

Save this reel for the next time you're looking for a dress.

Share it with a friend who knows her season.

And tell me in the comments which retailer you'd like me to edit next. I'm always looking for new places to hunt down the best finds for every palette.

If you've ever wondered why some colours make you look glowing and healthy while others leave you looking tired, colour analysis could be the missing piece of the puzzle.

I'm Louise, founder of How To Not Hate Your Clothes, and I help women fall back in love with dressing again through professional colour analysis, personalised colour palettes and practical style advice.

If you’ve started to hate your clothes after having kids, it’s usually not about the clothes themselves.

It’s this combination:
Your body has changed
Your lifestyle has changed
But your wardrobe hasn’t quite caught up

So you end up stuck between:
Trying to dress like you used to
Or defaulting to what feels easiest

Neither feels quite right.

The shift comes from rebuilding with intention.

Start with what actually works for your life:
Choose pieces that feel comfortable, but still like you
And understand the colours that make everything easier to put together

When your colours are right, your wardrobe starts to make more sense.

If you’re ready to feel more confident in what you’re wearing, you can book your colour analysis through my website. When you book with me you are booking with someone who knows!

London, you’re up

New availability has just been released for Sun Street and I’m so excited to be back.

London – Sun Street

These sessions are perfect if you’ve been waiting for a central London date or missed out last time. My Sun Street days always book quickly, so if it’s been on your list, this is your sign.

You can secure your space by paying in full or with a deposit, whichever works best for you.

If you’re booking with a friend, choose two consecutive slots and arrive together for the first one so you can enjoy the experience side by side.

I can’t wait to see more of you in London.

Choosing who you trust with your colour analysis really matters.

You’re sitting there without makeup, looking in the mirror, often more closely than you usually would. It can feel surprisingly vulnerable.

For some people, it brings up a level of self awareness that feels a little uncomfortable at first. And if the experience isn’t handled with care, it can quickly become something that feels more exposing than empowering.

When I was training, I spent a lot of time thinking about this. Not just learning the theory, but considering how the experience would feel for someone sitting in that chair, especially if their confidence was already low.

Because that part matters just as much as the outcome.

I’ve seen colour analysis presented in a way that feels quite flashy or performative. And while it might look impressive, it doesn’t always feel supportive.

For me, the goal has always been to create something that feels calm, thoughtful and genuinely encouraging.

Colour analysis is never about right or wrong. It’s about showing you what becomes possible when you start wearing colours that truly work for you.

The ones that lift you, soften you, bring clarity to your features.

If you’re considering having your colours done, it’s worth finding someone who makes you feel comfortable enough to be seen in that process.

You can book your colour analysis through my website.

Most women can remember a moment where a colour made them feel good.
A compliment. A look in the mirror that felt right. And yet, day to day, we often dress to avoid that feeling. To blend in. To not be noticed.
That’s where the disconnect starts.
You’re allowed to feel good in what you wear.
You don’t need to earn that.
If you’re ready to reconnect with your colours, you can book your analysis through my website.
