“Finish this sentence: I take photos because…”

While the photographers, tempo and locations change from episode to episode, this is the one line you’ll always hear in Walkie Talkie — the street-photography YouTube series founded by Paulie B, real name Paul Baldonado.

What makes Walkie Talkie unique isn’t just what comes out of it, but the honesty with which it’s shown. There are no guarantees of “the shot.” Some days yield nothing, some days give everything — but the cameras keep rolling. As Paulie puts it, “this is what it’s really like being a street photographer in New York and having conversations with this community that I have.”

Through a new collaboration with UNCLE, that same community is taking over the streets once again — or more precisely, the walls. As Paulie rolls out a rebrand for the channel alongside a new run of videos, work from Walkie Talkie-featured photographers has been wildposted across New York.

For Paulie, that moment has come full circle. The work born on the streets finds its way back there, free of galleries and glass. It’s an affirmation of what Walkie Talkie has always stood for: photographers who keep shooting, and keep showing up on the street.

There’s something quietly radical happening in Croydon. Conditions Studio. Founded by artist and educator Matthew Noel-Tod, Conditions is challenging the concept of art education. Instead, it offers something more grounded and intimate than the traditional art school machine. It’s a space to grow, to question, and to make.

“It is run by artists for artists and that is important to us.”

The structure is simple, and it plays to that. Artists are offered individual studio spaces alongside regular group critiques, public exhibitions and tutor sessions. Dialogue is just as important as output at Conditions, and the art coming out of the Croydon studio reinforces this. One of those public exhibitions, supported by UNCLE, is HARDCORE / LOVE. It’s a bold double bill of Mark Leckey’s classic Fiorucci Made Me Hardcore and Arthur Jafa’s devastating Love is the Message, The Message is Death. It’s a dialogue between the two artists and their iconic work.

“The exhibition is a powerful presentation, there are no frills, it is just the works in a dark room, facing each other.”

As they geared up to open HARDCORE / LOVE, we caught up with Matthew to talk about his early inspirations, the studio’s beginnings, and what it means to make art outside the centre of London. Read the full interview via the link in ’s bio.

is a designer whose work doesn’t conform to the traditional fashion narrative, and that’s precisely what makes it so compelling. It’s fitting that her latest collection, Lucid Delusions, will be showcased not on the runways of London Fashion Week, but on the city’s streets. Through UNCLE’s flyposting campaign, her designs will be brought directly to the people, bypassing the exclusive world of fashion shows and instead becoming part of the city’s make-up.

UNCLE has partnered with and for the release of his ‘Hold on to Hope’ screen print, launching a campaign to amplify a message of optimism amid today’s uncertain social climate.

In recent months, communities across the UK have faced violence and hatred from far-right groups but have responded with inspiring acts of resistance and solidarity — from locals gathering to clean up damage to children crafting friendship bracelets to raise funds for victims. Hope is alive, and we need to fight to champion hope amid turmoil.

To spread this message as widely as possible, UNCLE pasted a version of the print across London in high-traffic areas, using large-scale placements to catch the eyes of many.

UNCLE have partnered with on DISARM - a public art display in collaboration with .art. To amplify the campaign’s message, we also facilitated a national flyposting showing, drawing attention and support for its agenda.

The artwork presents a striking juxtaposition: military aircrafts, typically associated with destruction, spelling out the word ‘DISARM’. This visual statement challenges viewers to reconsider the implications of military power and the often-unexamined nationalism associated with such displays. The aim of the artwork being to provoke thought and conversation about peace and excess, especially via the interconnectedness of nations across the globe that we hope strive for unity.

The creative is also being shown at Piccadilly Circus everyday at 20:24pm until the end of August as well as in other cities across the globe.

UNCLE partnered with the Berlin based to support their commitment to uplifting marginalised communities and addressing the imbalances that pervade the music industry and wider society. The station’s educational arm offers an array of workshops in DJing, music production, journalism, and photography, aimed at providing opportunities to those who have historically been overlooked. These workshops are not just about skill-building; they are about fostering confidence, creativity, and a sense of belonging.

Radio is still evolving and organisations like Refuge Worldwide are sending clear signals about how radio is not only still relevant, but vital.
