Very much enjoyed seeing all the glorious sports on telly that I only ever watch during the winter Olympics. Here's my poster of the beautiful Dolomites on a bluebird day, the photo that inspired this drawing is my laptop homescreen background so I enjoy this view every day!

February in calendar of watery views is Loch Coruisk on the Isle of Skye. I went there a few years ago- we travelled on a fishing boat and saw dolphins on the way, crossed these stepping stones in an ungainly manor, ate sandwiches with a mosquito net bag on my head, admired the dramatic Cuillin mountains and enjoyed some peace and quiet.

Many thanks to anyone who shopped small / local / independant this Christmas! You made all the difference.

I had a lovely time at the last few markets I went to this year. Getting up way to early and forgetting my breakfast more than once is all ok when I get to meet nice people, have fun chats and come home inspired.


Thanks to everyone who found me online and chose my things, what a treat. Regular walks to the post office saving me from hermit life too.

I also tried my best to shop small this Christmas, buying unique, handmade stuff from enthusiastic creative people is just really nice.

New Christmas cards are here! The 'on you bike' collection features Santa, Mrs Claus, St Nic and a long legged elf making special deliveries by bike. The snowy winter houses give peaceful, cosy midwinter feelings in retro style.
I was eating a bowl of soup while photographing these, a dangerous game, everyone survived.
