I was tracked down through Facebook by Sam, a collector with a real eye for the unusual. This vintage noughts and crosses telephone is more than just a conversation piece… it’s actually a playable game ☎️

The catch? The original pieces were long gone🕵🏻‍♂️

With a reference photo and a bit of 3D printing magic, I’m recreating a full set from scratch, bringing this rare piece back to life in a way that’s just as unique as the original.

Not only is the telephone itself hard to come by, but replacement pieces like these are even rarer which makes this project all the more satisfying.

Follow along to see the full restoration and printing process unfold 👀

Had some fun producing 11 dies for at for their manual clay extrusion system.

I’ve pretty much used up all the scraps of old filament now, that’s why some of these are multi coloured.

I’m looking forward to in the near future, showing you how these prints will result in producing restaurant quality items 👨🏻‍🍳

Been a very productive day today! I hav a new client looking to represent their sustainable energy brand with a 3D printed gift.

The pin wheel windmill is currently a prototype which will eventually be produced in a batch using fully recycled plastic bottle waste to make our own filament and mills from.

The design has a shallow emboss of CORE’s logo. A little heat is required to help fold the PET and retain the sail shape.

Today I paid a visit at to hand over their newest clay extrusion plate.

3D printed by using up the ends of left over PETg results in a mish mash of layered colours and prevents plastic simply being thrown away.

The purpose of the 3D printed part is to by hand force clay through to produce custom shapes to then later form into unique designs.

Looking forward to working more with Clara on upcoming projects. Stay tuned!

The A1 minis are expanding! After a painful wait for a UK restock, I can finally start to expand the number of my machines for projects in my studio.

Colour coded and now spaced out with corner braces, the machines don’t shake the storage units as bad with no change to print quality.

I would love two more to fill out the entire right side of the room 🧐

How many plastic bottles does it take to 3D print a rose? 🌹

Last weekend at the I put the P2S to the test inside

Using a Recreator3D MK6 Fun Size, I turned used soda bottles into filament… and printed an entire rose head.

Settings for maximum translucency:
• 0.6mm nozzle
• 1 wall
• 0% infill
• Slow print speed for consistency

Print time: 3 hours
Material used: ~4× 1L bottles (tops and bottoms removed)

That’s 90%+ less plastic waste potentially heading to landfill or inefficient recycling streams.

It’s also my longest print ever using homemade filament.

The filament definitely needed more drying… but I love how the final piece turned out.

An update after the recent weekend and now unpacking / resetting of the studio here at

Find out what I was fortunate to get for free from SMRRF26 and what’s already printing on the machines.

In the coming weeks the printers will be expanding, just waiting on stock to finally land in the UK.

A little teaser of the progress made in the studio this evening. Managed to organise some more, cable management, label everything and get a better plan of what’s left to do.

I just need some shelving, 3D print some custom peg board organisers and bring in some big plants to finish off the space!

The A1 mini has been fully modded now but some anti slip feet, additionally the P1S is now finally on the network too! There is another machine I haven’t shown off fully yet as it’s a big project and the final parts are due any day this week 🤞
