How often should you update your website?

There is no simple answer. Often businesses put huge effort into a website redesign, go live, and then never touch it again. But to ensure you continue to rank highly in search engines, you should update it as often as needed. As long as your website is not left stagnant, you are on the right track.

Ideally, you should aim to update your website at least once a month, which is manageable for most businesses.
The benefits are:
• Regular updates demonstrates that your website is active.
• Provides new content to share on social media.
• Improves SEO because search engines like new content.
• Helps establish you as an expert in your industry by creating new or repurposing content for your users.
• Increases traffic to your website.

To be honest, there is no right answer, but it is essential to update your website regularly, to show search engines and your audience that you are a trustworthy, relevant source, improving your rankings and an increasing traffic to your website.

Maximising Enquiries: The Importance of Prompt Responses

It is so frustrating to express interest in a product or service through an email, only to receive no reply from the business you are contacting. It has happened to me on many occasions.

If a business is going to display contact information, they should have someone managing the enquiry inbox. From a marketing perspective, businesses have already accomplished the hard part of piquing interest, so having no process in place to respond to these enquiries is detrimental. If the response is too slow, the enquirer will move on to a competitor for sure.

Managing enquiries can be simple. Here are some basic steps that every business should take:
Assign a dedicated person to monitor the inbox, with a backup to cover absences.
Create easy-to-manage folders to organise incoming messages.
Forward emails promptly to the appropriate colleague to respond.
Delete or archive emails that have been read and require no further attention.
Use email templates for consistent responses.

By following these steps, businesses can ensure that they are not missing out on potential customers and opportunities.

So what's the best number of times to tweet on Twitter?
It is recommended to tweet 1-2 times a day and no more than 3-5 times a day.

You should also follow the rule of thirds:
1/3 tweets promote your business
1/3 tweets share personal stories
1/3 tweets are informative insights from experts or influencers.

Don't forget to set some goals for your social media, so you can measure your success.

For example, if your goal is to drive more traffic to your website your goal might be to increase your average click-through rate. You can use your baseline click-through rate from your Twitter audit to set a specific achievable goal over a reasonable period of time (say, an increase from 1.5% to 2.5% in three months).

How often should you post on Instagram?
It is recommended to post on your Insta feed 2-3 times a week, and no more than once a day.
Stories can be posted more frequently.
The Instagram Chief Adam Mosseri suggested posting 2 feed posts a week and 2 stories a day is ideal for building a following.
Business post 1.56 posts to their feed a day.

You can grow your followers 2 x by posting every week consistently compared to those who post less frequently than once a week.

You should always consider quality over quantity.

Daily posting can grow followers 4 times faster than posting less than once a week.
