The blue & white striped shirt, is very much a hero piece for me.

It’s one of those things I reach for again and again because of it’s versatility. I love how it sits between casual and polished. I’ll wear it with denim, tailored trousers, khaki and of course a pair of gorgeous white trousers.

It doesn’t feel try-hard either. The stripe gives it a bit more interest than a plain white shirt, but it’s still incredibly easy to wear and style.

Me & Em have a lovely seersucker version at the moment… slightly textured, really flattering, and perfect if you want something that feels a bit lighter and more relaxed for summer.

This is how I tend to wear mine:
• tucked into trousers when I want it to feel smarter
• loose with jeans and trainers for everyday
• slightly undone with a bit of gold jewellery when I want it to feel more relaxed.

Fabric makes such a difference. I tend to go for cotton if I want it to feel sharper, or linen when I want something more laid-back.

It’s one of those pieces that quietly does a lot of the work in my wardrobe… and I honestly wouldn’t be without it.

How about you, what’s your wardrobe essential?

April Round Up
Fewer layers this month, just easy pieces that work without overthinking.

This is the formula I come back to again and again…
jeans or relaxed trousers, a great tee or lightweight knit, and a few favourite accessories to pull it all together.

It works for my lifestyle, it feels like me, and it makes getting dressed feel effortless rather than overwhelming.

That’s the benefit of knowing your style.

When you understand what suits you, shopping becomes clearer, outfits come together more easily, and you stop buying pieces that never quite earn their place in your wardrobe.

If you’re still figuring yours out, start here:
• Start a Pinterest board and save anything you’re drawn to (no overthinking)
• Look for patterns in shapes, colours and outfits
• Put a few words to it… simple, relaxed, polished, bold

And take photos of outfits you feel good in.
They become your shortcut on days when you don’t want to think too hard.

If your style needs a lift, start with colour.

The right shades can instantly make you look fresher, brighter and more like yourself.

Through colour analysis, I identify your personal season (Spring, Summer, Autumn or Winter) and show you exactly which tones flatter your skin, hair and features.

But it’s not just about appearance. Colour affects how you feel too. The right palette can lift your mood, boost confidence and quietly change how you show up.

And honestly, at this time of year, that can make all the difference.

If you’re curious about your colours, or ready to feel more like you in what you wear, I’d love to help.

Forever in blue jeans…but it might be time for a change.

I’ve long been a fan of cargo pants, ever since All Saints made them cool back in the day, so I’m delighted to see them dominating the high street again.

They’re versatile, comfortable, and easy to dress up or down and in a lightweight fabric, they’ll take you right through spring and summer.

They work just as well styled casually as they do dressed up, you could even get away with wearing them in the office.

Think a crisp shirt and loafers, or a simple tee and flip flops for weekend errands.

In shades like khaki, beige and olive, they work beautifully with a pop of colour or keep it simple with a timeless white tee.

The perfect alternative to jeans.

A little summer dress inspiration, organised by colour season.

Because it’s not just about the style, it’s the colour that makes the difference.
When you’re wearing shades that suit your natural colouring, your skin looks clearer, your features more defined, and you don’t have to rely so much on makeup or accessories.

Knowing your colours also makes shopping so much easier, you spend less time browsing and avoid those expensive mistakes we’ve all made.

If you’re not sure which colours work for you, this is exactly what colour analysis is for.

It gives you clarity, confidence, and makes shopping far more considered.

If you’d like help finding your palette, you can find more details on my website via the link in my bio or just drop me a message.

Red is one colour I wear on repeat.

It’s a colour I love, that suits me, and one I find myself wearing in some form almost every day, whether a jcacket, a knit, a pair of socks or my favourite lippy!

This season, it’s all about poppy red, a warm orange-based tone that feels light, fresh and very wearable as we move into spring and summer.

You can see it coming through everywhere right now, particularly in relaxed silhouettes and natural fabrics.

But it’s not just clothing, red accessories are having a moment too.

Red necklaces, in particular, are leading the way. Especially beaded styles, worn close to the neck or layered with gold. They add just enough colour without feeling overdone, and work beautifully against neutrals like tan, cream and denim.

It’s the easiest way to bring red into your wardrobe if you’re not quite ready for a full look.

I can’t seem to get enough of it… how about you?

What to Wear, When You’re Not 21!

I’ve had a few friends ask me recently…

“What do I wear to an 18th, 21st or 30th when I’m not in my 20s?”

This is where black and white comes into its own. It’s chic, modern, and quietly confident and you won’t feel overdressed… yet still look the part.

A few simple rules I follow:
• Keep the shapes relaxed, not restrictive
• Mix textures (leather, silk, lace, knits) to add interest
• Let accessories do the talking

If you’re wearing black near your face and it’s not your most flattering shade, try adding a touch of gold; earrings, a necklace or even a scarf. It brings light back to the face and lifts your complexion.

You don’t need to compete with the 21-year-olds. You just need to show up as the best version of you and black & white makes that easy.

P.S. Don’t forget to have fun and show the young ones how it’s done.

If anyone would like links to any of these pieces (or similar), just message me, I’m happy to help.

Fancy a little luck of the Irish this St.Patrick’s day?

Pop on something green and see what happens, you never know your luck!

But don’t save it just for St Patrick’s Day. This bright, vivid green is one of those colours that instantly lifts your mood, whatever the occasion.

Particularly if, like me, you suit the strong, bright tones of Spring. It wakes up your complexion and makes you feel like your best self.

I’ve pulled together a few pieces if you fancy adding a splash… 💚

To all the fabulous women I know, and those I don’t,
Happy International Women’s Day.

Today is about celebrating the strength, resilience and achievements of women everywhere, and continuing the call for rights, justice and action for all women and girls.

Through my work with style, I’m reminded how powerful it is when a woman reconnects with herself, her confidence and her sense of identity.

Here’s to women supporting women, today and every day.

February Round Up

Jeans. Tees. Knits. Jackets and a few favourite pieces of jewellery worn on repeat.

This is my everyday style. The formula I come back to again and again. It feels like me, it works for my lifestyle, and it makes getting dressed easy. It is my style identity.

Knowing your style identity is so helpful when it comes to building a wardrobe you actually wear and love, rather than a wardrobe full of expensive mistakes. Pieces bought in the moment because they looked great on someone else, but never quite felt like you.

If you are unsure what your style personality is, try this:

• Start a Pinterest board and pin what you are drawn to. Do not analyse it. Just save what you love.

• After a while, look for repetition. Similar shapes. Similar colours. Similar formulas. That is your style speaking.

• Then write down a few words that describe it. Relaxed, Polished, Feminine, Edgy, Elegant,Cool.

It also helps to take photographs of outfits you feel good in. Keep them as a visual record so you can easily recreate similar looks that you know work for you.
