So with Adobe informing me that my monthly Creative Cloud subscription will be going up by nearly 10%, I'm seriously considering switching to the Affinity packages (and saving myself £600 per year).

Any of my designer friends made the switch, considering making the switch or know of others who made the switch?

What are the pros (apart from saving a load of money) and cons?

Designing for yourself is hard - but I'm pretty pleased with this. Just making sure everything is in order before it's displayed for the world to see.

Snap Designs is 13 today! A lot has changed in the past 13 years (probably not as much as in the past 3 months!) but one thing hasn't: I still love designing things. Whether it's a simple flyer or a complex website, I love presenting information in an engaging format that connects with people. Here's to the next 13 years.

It's always nice to welcome a new client to the fold. One of the latest is All We Can, a pioneering international development, relief and advocacy organisation. The first couple of jobs I have undertaken for them include business cards and display stands. The business cards seen above carry a unique photo for each individuals card on one side with contact details on the reverse. The banner stands seen below were produced to highlight All We Can's work with refugees.

How energy efficient are you? The residents of Alton in Hampshire can get help with the answer by visiting Energy Alton's new website - energyalton.org.uk. The website hosts a wealth of resources and tips on energy efficiency as well as highlighting services the group provides, a calendar of events and the opportunity to join the group. As well as designing and developing the new site I spent an afternoon with four members of the group showing them how to use the website. [ 68 more words. ]
