Just outside North Shields fish quay overlooking the river Tyne.

A location I'd never even looked twice at until the other day.

It's a little busier than my normal shots but I kind of like it tbh.

Holly Island boat sheds.

A local told me that apparently these boats sheds where the inspiration for a Scottish government building although I can't for the love of me remember which one he said. I also got to meet the women who owned the one on the left.

If you haven't been, get yourself up to this amazing little island.

I always find it fascinating how nature finds a way to reclaim anything it can.

One of the shots I took last week while having a walk on the local wagon ways.

This is a man made fence post that's rotted away, fell, and been left to elements. Now an entire ecosystem for various micro organisms and biomes. I love how the burgundy leaves framed this golden green post.

While walking along the wagon ways, I came across this rock and open growth.

Usually this area is flooded with natural Rhubarb but something happened this year and all of the Rhubarb blackened and died back leaving this blank patch with hundreds of little clouds of whatever this fungus is.

I found the greens and browns rather pretty and a start sign that Nature always moves on

I do love simple standout colour photos. With multiple infections and poor weather getting out with the camera is difficult but sometimes just going for a small walk near home you'll be surprised what you can find.

Challenging creativity is always welcome in photography.

This last, burning red leaf hanging on, symbolising the final days of autumn before winter takes hold.
