Why not make it simple on the bill, call a unit what it is “1 unit” at whatever price you are charging instead of hiding it behind an equation 🫢

🔋 Say watt?! kW vs kWh 🔋

What’s the difference?

💡 kW (Kilowatt): A measure of power. It tells you how much energy an appliance uses at a specific moment
⚡ kWh (Kilowatt-hour): A measure of energy. It tells you how much energy an appliance uses over time

How to work it out?

💡 Power (kW): Check the appliance label. For example, a 2 kW heater uses 2 kilowatts of power
⚡ Energy (kWh): Multiply power by time. If you run a 2 kW heater for 3 hours, it uses 2 kW * 3 hours = 6 kWh

Why it matters?

💷 Cost savings: Knowing kWh helps you understand your energy bill and find ways to save money
📈 Efficiency: Helps you choose energy-efficient appliances
🌍 Environmental impact: Reducing kWh usage lowers your carbon footprint
