Spartans 4 - 3 New Derby Football Club

What a turnaround from the Spartans today! Despite going 2-0 down in the first half, the lads came out fighting after the break and produced an unbelievable comeback.

Alfie sparked the revival, calmly slotting it past the keeper to pull one back early into the second half. He then levelled the game with a clever finish, before securing his hat-trick with his weaker foot, driving the ball across the keeper into the bottom left.

The game was completely in the hands of the Spartans and soon Alfie was brought down on the edge of the box, allowing Anth to step up to take the free kick. He put the ball into the top right over the wall, leaving the keeper with no chance, making it 4-2.

New Derby managed to grab one back late on, but Spartans held their shape and managed the game brilliantly, seeing it out to secure all three points.

A massive win for the Spartans and an incredible comeback showing pure dedication from the lads. Onto next week where we look to take another 3 points.
