AD| Yesterday I paid a visit to in Low Fell, and it reminded me exactly why I love this place so much. It had been a while since my last visit, but walking through the doors felt like coming home. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming and stylish, blending the character of a traditional pub with a modern dining experience. Whether youāre popping in for a drink, a family meal or a catch up with friends, itās the perfect setting.
This time I decided to sample some of their small plates although āsmallā definitely isnāt the word Iād use! First up was the bruschetta, and wow, the portion size was huge. Fresh, toasted bread piled high with vibrant toppings, bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. It could easily be a meal in itself.
The pork belly bites were absolutely incredible perfectly cooked, melt-in-the-mouth pork with a delicious salsa that added just the right balance of sweetness and freshness. Every bite was packed with flavour.
The homemade hummus served with warm flatbread was another standout. Smooth, creamy and full of flavour, with the freshly warmed flatbread making the perfect accompaniment.
Then came the Gambas Pil Pil succulent king prawns cooked in a rich garlic and chilli oil that was simply irresistible. If youāre a seafood lover, this is a must order dish.
And of course, no visit would be complete without their homemade chips. Crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside and absolutely heavenly. Sometimes the simplest things are the best!
The food, service and atmosphere were spot on as always. If youāve never visited, youāre missing out. And if itās been a while, take this as your sign to go back.
Donāt forget they also serve a cracking Sunday roast thatās become a firm favourite with locals, and theyāre showing all the England World Cup games too, making it the perfect place to enjoy great food, a few drinks and soak up the match day atmosphere.
Highly recommended Iāll definitely not be leaving it so long before my next visit!
