397 clicks from Google in 16 days.

That’s The Tavern Inn in Newquay, live since 15 July. Sixteen days after launch they’d had 397 clicks from Google search, out of 4,399 times they showed up in results, and were being found for over 250 different searches. Up from nothing.

Not just their own name, either. They now come up for things like “carvery newquay” and “pubs in newquay”, which is where new customers come from rather than people who already know you.

266 people also tapped the call button on the site in that time. We can see the tap, not the call, so we’re not going to pretend we know how many actually rang. But that’s 266 people who wanted to.

Free Google check for any Newquay business. No catch, no pitch.

Your Google Business Profile is what decides whether you turn up when someone nearby searches "barbers near me" or "carvery Newquay". Nearly every one we look at has something small missing. Wrong hours, no photos, a category that doesn't match what you actually do, the website box left empty.

Comment or message us your business name and we'll have a proper look at yours and tell you what we'd change. Takes us five minutes. You don't have to do a thing with it afterwards, and we won't follow you round trying to sell you a website.

Nansledan's Barber Lounge just went online.

If you've had a cut at Barber Lounge in the Seahorse building, you'll know why the Booksy rating sits at 5.0 from more than 1,000 reviews. Danny's been at it since 2018 and the shop has earned every one of them.

What it didn't have was a proper home on the web. As of this weekend, it does: barber-lounge-newquay.com. Real prices, real photos of the shop, and you can book in seconds.

Great news for a much loved Newquay pub. The Tavern Inn Newquay now has a brand new website, built and looked after by us here at Saltwater.

It's a family-run St Austell Ales pub on Mellanvrane Lane, known for its famous Sunday carvery, homemade food every day, live music, pool and darts, and a lovely b**r garden. Dogs and families welcome, and free parking on site.

Newquay runs on its independents.

The café that knows your order. The barber who remembers your kids' names. The trades who actually turn up. The little shops that make the town ours and not just another high street.

See your new site before you pay a penny.

We know how it goes. Someone promises the world, takes a deposit, and you're left crossing your fingers.

So we do it the other way round. We build you a real, working demo first, put it online, and send you the live link. You click around it on your own phone, in your own time. Then you decide if it's for you.

This one's special. Get Doodled is Christine's face painting business here in town, and it's the first client site we've taken fully live.
