As we head in to 2026 and I shut my laptop for a week I thought I’d reflect on the year and share some of my personal and professional wins as I feel it’s been a big one!
✨ I bought my first house back in February. A real milestone that sometimes still doesn’t feel real. This time last year we were in the depths of panicked messages and solicitor stress, living in that weird limbo where nothing feels certain. Fast forward to now and we’re settled in and really making the house our own.
✨ Started taking my health a bit more seriously. Nothing extreme, just more fresh air, more movement. Squeezing gym sessions into my lunch breaks and trying to make better food choices (most of the time).
✨ Travelled to some beautiful places this year, both familiar and new. Including our annual road trip to the south of France (with a bonus day trip to Barcelona). Feeling grateful to have ticked off a few more countries and hoping to keep that going through 2026.
✨ Picked up my freelancing this year, gaining new clients while continuing to work with existing ones. I got stuck into some exciting projects and even managed to squeeze in a passion project or two. Something that feels like a small miracle alongside full-time work.
✨ And finally, securing a new Design role back in September. This was a slightly terrifying but exciting leap for me and I already feel like I’ve come a long way since starting and have developed so much as a designer. Proof that stepping out of my comfort zone was very much worth it.
2025 has really carved the way for 2026 and I’m hoping the next year is about settling into the changes I’ve made and feeling more rooted. I’m heading into the year feeling quite proud of my accomplishments and excited for what’s to come!
Thank you to everyone who’s supported, encouraged and worked with me this year 🫶🏻
