As it’s St. Patrick’s Day, it felt only right to share a little of what I’ve been working on.

The colour inspiration behind Piece 01 🌷

This jumper was stitched thread by thread into a reworked vintage Aran knit, inspired by the deep red of these tulips.
It’s so nice to finally see the finished piece beside the colour that started it all.

And of course, my little helper who has been there every stitch of the way 🐈

Piece 01 ~ work in progress

I’ve started adding the colour to this vintage Aran jumper and it’s slowly beginning to come to life.

Each little stitch is worked into the knit by hand, following the texture that’s already there.

I don’t cut into the jumpers or take anything apart. I just add small threads of colour and let the original pattern guide me.

There’s still a bit more to do, but I’m really enjoying seeing it come together.

Stitch by stitch, slowly building something new on top of something already beautiful.

I’ve been quietly working on something, my brand - Folkshore.

I am reworking vintage Aran jumpers into one-of-one pieces — new colours, but keeping all the history and texture.

I’m currently creating my very first piece and honestly… it’s been a lot of love and a lot of labour but I’m excited to share it with you.
