Spending market budget in the right places can be a minefield, and it’s incredibly easy to come to the conclusion that marketing simply doesn’t work.
Significant budgets are spent, often in the right places, with campaigns that feel like they should be making a difference, but the dial isn’t moving in the right direction.
However, this doesn’t mean marketing doesn’t work. It means that marketing likely hasn’t been planned around business objectives, and instead executed on what ‘feels right’.
This also often means that measurement and reporting isn’t aligned with metrics that show real commercial progress.
