Email marketing is a lottery of sorts if you think about it.

Your email is going to be one of many landing in someone’s inbox. You want yours to be the chosen one, standing out among the throng. But how?! 😕

Fortunately, it’s not as much a game of chance. You have the ability to draw the attention towards your email with an incredible subject line and preview text.

However, as I said, that effort will go unrewarded if your email ends up bouncing, or landing in the junk folder.

As marketers, awareness allows us to understand what our leads need at any given time. It becomes our job to offer suitable content and follow up to help them pass through the stages. 🚶‍♂️

Without targeting awareness, you might feel like you’re shooting in the dark. 🌑

Sending newsletters to your list is a great way to keep engagement running high and gives you more space for nurture. ✉️

But businesses often get it wrong; they send out newsletters that no one gives two hoots about. 😴

If your newsletter is simply a place to talk endlessly about your company and internal activities, or worse than this, you use it only as another sales tool… Please, stop.

When it comes to your marketing automation, you should absolutely be progressively profiling your leads.

There is no doubt about it. But, if you’re profiling your leads without any insight into what the behaviours that they’re displaying mean, is it worth your time? ⌚️

Will you end up sending them incorrect information and communication because you don’t have a handle on behaviour? 😫

Or, is behavioural progressive profiling a little too in depth? Will it lead you down a rabbit hole when your time could be better spent elsewhere?

If you don’t have the answers to those questions, that is absolutely fine. Because I do, and all of the answers are yours for the taking in the week’s blog. 😁
