A nice little job that I completed today.
The client was attending a business event and instead of giving away the usual ’freebies’, they decided to give that budget to charity so they asked me to come up with a simple idea/design based on the wee tokens you get in Tesco that you drop into a container.

I designed this in illustrator and used my laser cutter to cut all the parts from recycled acrylic as they also wanted to ensure it had some green credentials. The 500 wee tokens were cut from 3mm wood and are re-useable.

The graphics are easily replaceable for future events.

The overall size is a compact 600x400mm as it had to be easy to transport.

This was a great wee project and the fact that some great charities will benefit makes it very worthwhile.

It's that time again when I have to start thinking about putting together the yearly calendar.

I've done quite a few versions over the years, including gargoyles and simple black-and-white drawings, but from a commercial standpoint, the bright, bold images of Paisley Architecture really sell more than anything.

However, I thought it might be a good idea to ask the people who buy them what they'd like to see in the 2027 Paisley calendar.

A shiny fifty pence piece to the person with the best idea.

Oh aye... I know you lot, so keep it clean!!! :)

This post is slightly tongue-in-cheek, but it's very true... it happens every now and again with clients calling me in a panic, wondering what's happened with their job???.

Basically, if you don't actually sign off your proof, or don't tell me expressly that you want to go to print, then sorry, your print job has not been printed.

Until I receive explicit permission, I have to assume you're not yet ready to commit.
