Just like the foundations of your house, the foundations of your marketing are the piece on which everything else rests.

Get the foundations right and everything else falls into place easily. Creating content that helps you find new clients is a cinch, offerings stack together, teams are on the same page, potential clients understand what the heck youโ€™re talking about.

What questions could you answer now for potential clients, that 'future you' will be oh so grateful for?

Why are FAQs important for service-based businesses?

1๏ธโƒฃ Qualify leads - Are they the right kind of client? Do they have the budget? Give them the opportunity to filter themselves out before they contact you.

2๏ธโƒฃ Save time - Discovery calls and service trials should be where you and the client decide if you're a good fit, clearing up any objections and sealing the deal, not an opportunity for a full inquisition.

3๏ธโƒฃ Build trust - Some of us (me included!) like to research, ponder, overthink and go round the houses before parting with our hard-earned cash. Any touch-point that helps customers make a decision to choose you over your competitors should be considered in your marketing strategy.

Excuse me, did you just say OFFLINE marketing for coaches, consultants and practices? As in not the new shiny social media apps or AI generated automated communications?

You might be surprised that we include direct mail campaigns in our marketing plans for some clients. But why? Let us tell you โคต๏ธ

1) Not many people use this marketing method! You can use this as an opportunity to stand out in a busy, and, mostly digital, world if you do it well.

2) Some people just don't read emails or use social media as you would expect. Do your audience research to confirm where people 'hang out' and if it's not typically online, a new approach is required.

3) It's highly targeted - Find the decision makers and get in their direct eye-line.

4) Explain complex ideas, new concepts or high ticket value services. Direct mail is perfect when there's more to say and a specific message to get across.

5) Direct mail can drive visitors online and feed your marketing funnel - Just because itโ€™s offline doesnโ€™t mean your direct mail piece canโ€™t integrate with your website.

6) Who doesn't love getting something nice in the post? Just make sure that what you send is something they'll appreciate.
