It was a joy to run another session for Elevator this week on Digital Marketing and Sales Strategy. This week, we talked about SOSTAC by Paul Smith - such a great framework, which I fully endorse and have used for years. We digged deep into Strategy and Tactics, looking at some examples and pulling on the experience of delegates. Good work folks - wishing you well for the rest of the programme and beyond.

I don't get out much these days, so it was quite a thrill to deliver a session on Market Research for Elevator this week. 17 businesses from across Tayside are taking part in its Empower Creative Futures programme. It was great to meet them and to hear about their ambitions at this exciting stage. I hope they were able to take away a few ideas and snippets from the workshop to help them on their way. Well done, and good luck to them all! 🚀⭐️

ANNUAL GOLF DAY RESULTS PART 2
Eileen Cooper of Limetree won the Nearest The Pin, landing within a couple of inches of the hole! Closest we’ve ever seen in this competition. Eileen took home the Elder and Paton Quaich and King James VI Golf Club golf goodies plus a jar of Cloverlea Apiaries -'The Friendly Bee Company' local honey. Congratulations Eileen! 💪 ⛳️ 🥇 ☺️

Given my disillusionment with British politics, attending this event on Thursday night was particularly interesting. I wasn't sure how it was going to go, and although I had to bite my tongue a few times, Rachel Reeves came across well. It was good to see the human side of our Chancellor. After reading this week that the Companies House register has shrunk for the very first time, it's clear we have a lot to do to grow our economy and steady the ship. As Beena Sharma says, we need action. I will continue to live in hope.

Had a fantastic time today running a session for Elevator at the Centre for Entrepreneurship, University of Dundee, focused on content, email marketing, and online marketing for growing e-commerce businesses. 🎉

A huge thank you to all the delegates who took part, especially Alaine, who joined us through FaceTime! Your enthusiasm, ideas, and input made the session so much fun. It was inspiring to meet you and hear your tales, and I'm grateful for your input.

PSYBT lives on…

PSYBT marked a turning point in my career, which I put down to the amazing people I met there, and learned from. It was lovely to catch up with some of our on Thursday night at Nooch Bar and Kitchen in Stirling (a fantastic vegan & veggie indy cafe - worth a visit!).

We’ve all gone our separate ways, but we still share the same passion for young people, enterprise, and business. Although I’ve not seen some of you for around 20 years, you all hold a special place in my heart. I’ll look forward to the next catch up! Thank you to Margaret Gibson OBE and Geoff Leask for organising.
