Photographer confession: I hate having my photo taken! 😕

I've heard of so many people deciding against a wedding photographer for fear of having to perform in front of a camera, and I was exactly the same. The thought of dragging out your day with stuffy group shots, awkward positions and cheesy smiles - not for me.

My photography is based around this whole idea - your wedding day, candidly captured, just as it happens 🫶

I'll be there to advise and tweak where needed, but mostly I'll be a fly on the wall, watching and waiting for those special moments. Until the party when you might mistake me for a guest (especially if you're gonna drop a Cher track or two) 🕺

I spent the most incredible weekend with Helen Fenton on a Spring Equinox wellness retreat, accompanied by , who provided the loveliest massage 💆‍♀️

This is mainly a testimonial post because I genuinely can't think of a better way, as an stupidly busy, (sometimes frazzled) mother and businesswoman to spend a weekend. Included was guided yoga, meditations, fire gathering, accommodation, and the most INCREDIBLE nutritional food, and even a lesson on gut health and how to optimise your body with the power of plants (thank you to chef Naomi!)

If you, like me, are dying for a break that will actually help you to reset and refocus - go over to Helen's website and for goodness sake just book one! There are single day and weekend retreats until the end of the year. I've already got my eye on the November one 👀

Of course, I find it impossible to go anywhere without my camera these days, so I managed to capture some snaps of the joy that Helen brought to these ladies this weekend 📸

🤩 HIRING - FREELANCE SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGER 🤩

I'm delighted to say that after my first 12 months as a fully fledged, limited company, I've hit the level of expansion required to employ an experienced permanent Social Media Manager to join my budding creative, business development and marketing agency.

I mainly deal in hospitality, lifestyle and events, but also have some legacy accounts across multiple sectors, so I need someone who really is passionate about developing small businesses and can apply themselves to think across the board.

If you want to know how to have a good time - make friends with these guys 💃🎶
This is the second event I've had the pleasure of photographing from this fabulous group of friends, and I've never met a bunch of 18 year olds who know how to have so much fun! If only I was half my age 😭

In the week, I manage social business accounts and create storytelling content for small and medium businesses, and then at the weekend I get to capture special moments at parties, weddings and events. Living the dream ✨📸

With a camera in one hand, and a phone in the other (because who doesn't love a cheeky sneak preview reel of their night?) I will be the fangirl you didn't know you needed at your event!

Last year I had the honour of photographing a truly once-in-a-lifetime occasion for this beautiful inspirational little lady - Phoebe.

This was the first event I'd photographed for someone who didn't already know me, so for Phoebe's family to trust me with such an important evening was a massive deal for me.

Phoebe has a life-limiting condition called Sanfilippo Syndrome, and has to bravely tackle her diagnosis single day. Her mum Hollie and sister Mia decided to celebrate her special birthday in style with a prom-night theme so that they could create and special memories to hold forever.

I've come a long way (technically / aesthetically) since this first event, but I think my passion for capturing tender and special moments showed through even then 🥰

As a gift to this incredibly courageous family, my sister and I did this on a voluntary basis. I would really love to do something like this again for an important cause this year as my way of giving back and honouring Phoebe, who gave me the chance to begin my photography journey.

If you've not been to The Social Trattoria in Poynton yet - you're not living.
The Social won The UK's BEST Trattoria in 2024 by The UK Italian Awards... and it's not hard to see why.
It's Italian - but not as you know it. You won't find any plain old spag bol or carbonara on this menu ❌

Head Chef Justin is FANATICAL about fresh, seasonal produce and producing Italian dishes that have all the familiarity of Italian, but with the nuance and excitement of modern twists and flavour combinations.

I had the honour of photographing (and tasting - yes... I love my job!) this unbelievable new menu this week and it's now live, ready for you to enjoy.

Introducing Cheshire's most exciting Private Chef - Adie & Co - Private Dining Chef and Luxury Wedding & Events Catering

Adie is an extraordinary chef, who has taken his career from working as a freelance chef in some of Cheshire and Greater Manchester's most renowned restaurants, pubs and events venues, to becoming his own unique brand since we have been working together.

We met whilst I was on a restaurant shoot where he was working, and we got chatting about his big dreams of becoming a private chef.

He commissioned me to write him a a business plan and marketing strategy and execute a full rebrand. I then secured a couple of gigs to get him some great content - and 6 months on, he's actually living out his dream - securing private home and holiday home events, cooking for premiership footballers, doing exclusive restaurant pop-ups, cooking demos at schools and festivals, putting on events to raise money for mental health charities, catering corporate events and putting on exquisite dining at stunning Cheshire wedding venues.

He even worked at a pop-up kitchen in a tent on an isolated island in Scotland for a client on a sea-safari (I know... what even is that?)

Adie had all the skills and talent in abundance to make this happen, but with our experience in small business marketing and content creation, we gave him the run up he needed to take off.

And take off he did ✈️🚀

We've had so much fun along the way too. We're a proper team that I'm so proud to be a part of, and his No #1 fan.
