Here is a quick guide to getting the right sheen level for the right room:

🛋️ Matt/ Flat: Perfect for ceilings and living rooms. It absorbs light, which also hides minor imperfections in the plaster.

🥚 Eggshell/Durable Matt: The ultimate choice for high traffic areas such as hallways. It looks modern but can be scrubbed , it is even my go to for bathrooms and kitchens due to its ultra resilient formula.

Why did that perfect grey paint look beautiful in the shop but cold and blue on your living room wall? 🥶🧭

It all comes down to compass direction and natural light! ☀️

If your room faces North, it gets a cool, bluish light all day. Cool greys, crisp whites, or pale blues can end up making the room feel chilly and clinical.

✨ The Fix: For North-facing rooms, choose shades with a warm yellow, pink, or beige undertone to balance out that cool light and keep the space feeling cozy.

Tester pots are your best friend! Paint a large piece of cardboard and move it around the room at different times of day before committing. 🎨

The Truth About "Paint & Primer in One"
Is "Paint & Primer in One" too good to be true? 🎨

We’ve all seen the tins at the DIY shop promising to skip a step. But as a professional, here is the honest truth: it's not a magic wand.

While retail "all-in-one" paints are great for going over previously painted walls in good condition, they cannot replace a technical primer on:
-Bare wood (the knots will bleed through!)
-Freshly plastered walls (they will suck the moisture right out of it)
-Water stains or glossy surfaces

Using the right specialist primer saves you time, money, and coats in the long run.
