Feels a bit cringe posting about myself but I am honoured to have been invited to join the committee at They kindly shared the following - The Chamber’s Executive Committee are delighted to welcome Craig French, from The Media Remix as a brand new committee member.

Craig says: “I am delighted to have been invited to join the Havering Chamber of Commerce Committee, and I will be helping to contribute as best I can to the continued growth and success of our local business community that we have here in Havering.

Through my work at my agency - The Media Remix - I use both my 25 years of experience and contact base from the media world to help support other businesses with both the planning and buying of their advertising. I also run my own local magazine for parents of primary school children distributed via Havering based primary schools to celebrate the area called Raring 2go! I am passionate about supporting Havering businesses in the ever-evolving advertising landscape to make sure they are using the best places for advertising at the best prices on the market.

Being part of the committee provides me with a fantastic opportunity to hopefully share insights, build partnerships, and help champion local business innovation across Havering. I am excited to work alongside the rest of the committee to strengthen our local business community and create opportunities for all businesses to thrive within!

I am a local resident myself living in Gidea Park and I have a lot of history with the area. My uncle launched a Romford based football club called Byron Red Star in 1968 which has had an impact on the local area for over 50 years, and I would love to be able to follow suit and give something to the Havering area which makes sure our businesses are all just as successful in 50 year’s time”.

We are always looking at the best possible media channels for our clients to find their ideal audience whether that be ‘offline’ or ‘online’.

Spotify offers a great opportunity to use a traditionally ‘offline’ channel in ‘Audio’ and applying that in a mobile ‘Online’ way.

Our client have been looking to drive awareness and equally sell tickets for their Concert at the o2 which is taking place in April. We looked at a plan to target their ideal audience by both Age and Geo. Obviously this was overlayed with an audience that are listening to ‘Garage Music’ too ;).

We feel that Spotify offers you the opportunity to reach potential customers during a good time of day when they are engaged with listening to music or podcasts while Travelling, in the Gym, Relaxing etc. It gives you another touchpoint, brings your advertising to life with 30 seconds of audio and gives you the chance to resonate stronger with a targeted audience.

It has been our pleasure to work with our latest client Potter and Mooch Limited. Potter & Mooch are based in West Sussex and have been handcrafting jewellery for their customers to enjoy since 2018.

We have been discussing lots of different media channel ideas for the future but with Valentines day just around the corner it felt like a great first step would be some tests within the National Newspaper market.

Buying Out of Home media strategically is one part but making sure you have the right creative is just as important.

Considerations are different for different brands, businesses and campaigns but some key points to always remember:

- Will your customers recognise your brand instantly (if you are a long term investor in advertising)?
- How will customers remember your brand?
- Is the campaign message clear and easy to understand?
