CHEF DE PARTIE
BRIEF DESCRIPTION:
The Role of Chef’s is to support in the effective delivery of food and assist in running the Kitchen operations ensuring the smooth operation of the Kitchen at all times. To show flexibility and support in different food preparations ensuring quality of delivery.
Location :
Rainham, Kent
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Preparation of food for service as appropriate
To control wastage and record as appropriate
Ensuring that all dishes are prepared to agreed specification
Ensuring that Stock rotation is followed and all store rooms/ fridges and freezers are in order and meet all regulatory requirements
Ensure all recipes and preparation requirements are met and followed.
Ensure temperature, seasoning and flavours are to agreed specifications
Ensures readiness for service and a pace for peak trade
Ensure all food is presented for service in a timely manner and in correct sequence
Ensure that the storage of food meets company and statutory health and safety requirements
Implement and ensure the company Health & Safety Policy is met at all times
Comply & implement all Health and Safety and Food Hygiene requirements
Ensure temperature records and food labelling are maintained and up to date
Ensure the kitchen is clean and hygienic, making sure cleaning rotas are adhered to and records kept
Ensure all food is served to specification
Support in the running of the kitchen and that it runs smoothly on a daily basis & is adequately stocked with all necessary goods
Support line manager appropriately to facilitate daily operations
Promote a positive perception of the company at all times both internally & externally
OTHER DUTIES: To act as a positive and professional at all times, promoting a positive perception of the company both internally & externally Facilitate good practice and Health & safety practice at all times Support other areas and cleaning if required Attend company meetings as requested
CONTINUED DEVELOPMENT: Adhere to the Companies policies & procedures in relation to performance Undertake all mandatory, requested Training & Induction to maintain and improve knowledge and skills Undertake any extended training required to ensure Continued Professional Development
