Sales is a blend of subtle persuasion and changing perspectives.

Which is why most online business owners stay broke.

Copywriting is a skill many overlook.

One I master through 8+ hours a day of practice and perfection - over years.

The same reason people pay you to coach them, instead of doing it themselves - right?

Social media metrics, in their order of importance:

Inbound DM Enquiries - these should your marketing is killing it.

Average watch time - this shows how entertaining your content actually was.

Saves/ shares - this shows how USEFUL your topic was in the audience.

Reach - this shows the overall performance: how did this perform subconsciously.

Followers - as numbers, mean f**k all - 90% of the time it’s someone else trying to sell to you.

Likes/ Comments - MOST of the time, these are from low-buying-intent supporters.

I used to look for balance as “less”

If I’d feel work was taking over, I’d look to do less - and balance th scales in the most mediocre way possible.

Nowadays, my balance works differently.

Instead of trying to stop the see-saw,

I like to give it huge swings in each direction.

This weekend has been 8 hours driving and a full day absorbing some crazy good insight from some very cool people.

It’s also been spending hours in the rain on top of a big hill (apparently a mountain).

If you want a better work-life balance - don’t do less work.

Do more, and demand more of yourself in the downtime.

Price first or pull to sales call?

It’s mainly down to the value perception your audience holds.

If you’re showing up daily - content, emails, DMs - building relationships and establishing trust.

Cool, you can probably use a decent price point as a conversion tool.

But if your audience don’t trust you and are cold to the touch, adding the price just creates more friction.

And you can’t handle objections if they don’t come up.

When I create a strategy, objection handling is always part of it.

That’s why you can’t just copy your favourite brand’s social strategy.

Start with the end result - and work backwards.

Are you trying to get someone to spend some of their disposable income on achieving a higher emotional state?

Or make a logical decision based on facts and figures.

Can you do both?

Absolutely. Business owners have emotions too.

But there’s a spectrum of strategy - and you should be anchored to the right end of it.
