This week’s vlog is a big one on many fronts.

I thought I’d bring you along for a week running the businesses, while showing you some of the stuff that goes on behind the scenes.

5am meetings.
Gym.
Running the agency.
Starting new businesses.
Trying to get the van finished.
Being a dad.

And somehow trying to create more freedom amongst all the chaos.

I used to think getting sober was about everything I’d have to give up.

I had no idea how much I was going to get back.

I have been beating this drum for years, and I will continue to!

When we started YouTube in 2022 it was NEVER about subscriber count or followers.

It was a video diary to show potential clients they could trust us and we build beautiful homes.

I also really wanted to show other aspiring contractors what it was actually like to run a contracting business.

To many people are doing it for the wrong reasons.

The fastest way to grow your company is to flip the narritive to service.

Your potential clients don’t care about you, they care about how you can solve their problems and want to know if they can trust you.

I have been beating this drum for years, and I will continue to.

No one cares about us when it comes to business.

They care about what we can do for them.

I started YouTube back in 2022 to show construction company owners what it was like to run a contracting business and to show developers we knew our stuff.

It was NEVER about subscriber counts, likes or comments.

The same principle applies with TradeAccelerator and Cardiff loft boarding.

I believe anyone can build the company THEY want and I’m going to prove it.

I will die on this hill.

No construction marketing company comes close to us when it comes to actually understanding trade businesses.

And I’ll happily argue that with anyone.

Because construction wasn’t a niche we researched.

We lived it.

I’ve laid bricks in the pi***ng rain.

Priced jobs at night.

Dealt with labour not turning up.

Chased payments.

Wondered where the next job was coming from.

Won work. Lost work.

Built a construction company from the ground up.

And made plenty of mistakes along the way.

Everything we do today was built from that experience.

We didn’t sit in an office and decide construction looked like a good niche.

We came from it.

There are bigger agencies.

There might even be better marketers.

But when it comes to understanding what it’s actually like to build and run a trade business?

No one comes close.

I’ll die on that hill.
