Does your B2B feels bland and boring? It's time to get some outside inspiration.

It's easy to get caught up in what your competitors are doing, but looking at other sectors and industries can fire up a whole host of new ideas.

After all, you're still talking to PEOPLE and they are out and about interacting with loads of different businesses that are shaping their expectations.

I love co-hosting in Southampton as even when the talks don't feel directly related to me as a b2b marketing freelancer, I always come away with a fresh perspective and new ideas.

I'm feeling quite reflective today after the Christmas do yesterday.

I'm not sure I could have started out on my own when I was younger. Fear may have gotten in my way. But I'm glad I made the leap. Being self-employed isn't 'better', it's different.

It comes with its own challenges but I feel it suits me and where I'm at currently.

Right, best get to work. It can't be all galavanting about. The reality is that most of my time I'm happily sat in front of my computer, but that doesn't make for such a fun image!

It's tough when you know you need to be marketing your b2b but your not in a position to hire someone, let alone a whole team!

Where do you start? Will the skills you need now be the same ones you need in 6 months?

Outsourcing to experts is a great way to get the resource you need NOW. Whether you need support on a specific project or for a few days a week.

For example, I help with not only marketing strategy, but with the ex*****on too. And I know lots of wonderful freelancers who can plug any gaps.

Don't leave money on the table.

Growth isn't limited to new customers, it can come from your existing customers too.

🌟 Repeat business - reach out to people who have worked with you before, they might need to refresh the work or repeat the activity

🌟 Upsell - is there are opportunity to get customers to upgrade to a higher ticket offer or service? Make sure they know what's available

🌟 Cross-sell - let customers know about other products and services which complement what they've already purchased.

It doesn't need to feel gross or be a hard sell. Just ask yourself 'What do I offer that can help this customer?'.
