So many women I meet spend years looking after everyone else before making time for themselves.

Today’s Colour Analysis Experience is particularly special because it came through the local charity, Martin House Children's Hospice during their recent Ladies Lunch event auction.

The winning bidder is a busy working mum who had been curious about colour analysis for some time.

I’m looking forward to sharing with Sarah, a joyful few hours that are entirely focused on her.

Supporting women to feel confident in themselves whilst supporting a good cause, feels like a win all round.

A great way to end the week. Happy weekend to you all and thank you, as always for your lovely support.

Following Colour Analysis, the bespoke colour swatch booklet you receive, becomes a trusted companion long after the actual session itself.

When I received a message from a lovely client recently asking if she could order a replacement swatch booklet, it prompted me to share a little more about their value.

I wonder, had it been lost? Left behind? Or accidentally thrown away?

Apparently, Rachel described that her swatch booklet was simply “enjoying a new adventure.” 😂

Now, I don’t know exactly where it is, but I like to imagine it’s living its best life…

Perhaps it’s tucked inside a different handbag after an exciting shopping trip

Maybe it’s hiding between the rails in a boutique, whispering, “Not that one… definitely not that one…”

It could even be sitting proudly in a café somewhere, exhausted after helping to prevent three expensive shopping mistakes

The truth is, swatch booklets work hard.

They become our new best friend, they accompany shopping trips, they save us from impulse purchases

They help us mindfully choose clothes, accessories, make-up and sometimes even home décor.

They’re the little colour companions that keep working long after your Colour Analysis appointment is over.

So if you’ve had Colour Analysis with me, tell me…

Where is your swatch booklet right now?
Would you be lost without yours?

Have you ever noticed that when you slip into your yoga pants or a baggy jumper, it just makes you want to slouch around? Then, when you make an effort and dress up, you feel different and stand a little taller?

The secret is to dress with intention every day. Have a plan. Wear the clothes you love. Waiting for a special occasion or the next big opportunity (which could be weeks away) means all those lovely clothes sit in your wardrobe, unworn and unloved. I’d call that a waste.

Every day is your best day. Use your clothes for the wonderful advantages they can bring.

The right outfit can boost your confidence, lift your mood and help you show up as the best version of yourself. Whether you’re heading to a meeting, meeting friends for coffee, or simply tackling your everyday to-do list our clothes enhance our day.

So don’t save your favourite pieces for ‘someday’…wear them now. Enjoy them now. Feel good now.

What’s one item in your wardrobe that you’re saving for a special occasion? I’d love to know amd had you thought… perhaps today is the perfect day to wear it?

Today I have the privilege of welcoming a lovely lady for her Colour Analysis appointment.

She has followed my work for many years, and the session has been gifted by her family. Such a thoughtful gesture for someone who has spent much of her time caring for an elderly relative.

As women, we can become so focused on looking after everyone else that our own needs quietly move to the bottom of the list. Self-care can feel like a luxury rather than a necessity. Nodding heads galore I imagine?

What I love about Colour Analysis is that it’s about so much more than discovering your most flattering shades. It’s an opportunity to pause, be looked after, and reconnect with yourself.

The right colours can absolutely lift your complexion, brighten your eyes and simplify getting dressed, but they can also do something far more powerful. They can reignite confidence, boost mood and remind you that you are worthy of taking up space and feeling good.

Tomorrow isn’t just about finding a colour palette. It’s about creating a moment of joy, restoration and self-discovery for a woman who truly deserves it.

I can’t wait to share this experience with Anne.

Welcome back to Confidence Conversations…where I share some reflections from the studio…

“I want to feel stylish…not like I’m trying too hard.”

It’s a recurring theme I hear and usually means someone wants ease, confidence, authenticity and polish without pressure.

Which is actually the sweet spot of great personal style.

So often, women tell me they don’t want to look ‘ fashionable’ for the sake of it. They want their clothes to feel natural, comfortable and true to who they are now.

The irony is that when your clothes genuinely reflect you, they often look effortlessly stylish to everyone else.

Perhaps great style isn’t about trying harder but about feeling more like yourself. Does this sound familiar?

What makes you feel stylish without feeling like you’re trying too hard? I’d love to know.

During a style consultation, we do of course discuss the perfect options and ideas for you and your lifestyle. .

Anyone who runs their own business knows just how much happens behind the scenes…and when that business is run from home, there’s even more to think about before anyone arrives.

I’m so grateful to the current Mr C, who does the lion’s share of keeping our garden looking beautiful — the very first thing my guests see when they arrive, often before my clients and I have even met.

It’s so important and for me, a lovely first impression. One I definitely couldn’t create without him.

It got me thinking about all the people behind the scenes who quietly support our businesses in ways big and small.

Today feels like a good day to say thank you to the people behind our businesses…our supporters, clients, cheerleaders and problem-solvers…

Who’s yours? Please do tag someone you couldn’t do without. Let’s start the week with positivity.

Ending the week with a lovely client and one of the conversations I have time and again…

…So many clothes… and yet nothing feels right to wear.

For so many of us, our wardrobes are holding onto a version of ourselves that no longer fits our lives. Pieces from a corporate role, a business chapter, or simply a time that feels behind us now. I know, I’ve been there.

Letting go of that can feel far bigger than just clothes. All the money we’ve spent, it can feel tied up with confidence, change, identity… and fear of what comes next.

My client this morning has understandably lost confidence over time and came to me looking for a fresh perspective on dressing. Something that feels current, effortless, and most importantly… like her.

Together we’re building a smaller, more streamlined wardrobe that works with her active lifestyle. Pieces that mix and match with ease. Colours and shapes that feel flattering, modern, and give her confidence in getting dressed each day.

Let me dispel the myth that a workable wardrobe is about having more. It’s about having the right pieces for the life you’re living now.

We have a wonderful day ahead and I’m looking forward to sharing some styling insights along the way. t

Good morning!

Today’s brief is all about creating a slightly more elevated wardrobe.

Kate is a busy working mum who spends most of her days in hospital scrubs, so getting dressed off-duty needs to feel simple, effortless but still like her.

Today we’re covering both personal colour and style…a full 360° view that will help shape an effortless capsule wardrobe built around elevated basics.

My hope is that Kate’s off-duty dressing feels restorative: polished, comfortable and requiring almost no effort.

There are certain styling details that can instantly elevate practical dressing. Sometimes it’s as simple as one beautiful accessory that changes the whole feel of an outfit.

Perfect when you want maximum ease with minimal effort, which is exactly the kind of brief I love.

I can’t wait to get started.

And of course, if you feel like you’re at a dressing crossroads too, I’d love to support you.

Another warm day…..do take care.

How often do we dress to avoid judgement instead of dressing to express who we really are?

At some point, many women lose confidence in their style because they’ve spent years trying to fit expectations, stay invisible, or wear what feels ‘acceptable’.

I’ve learned that confidence changes everything when you start dressing for yourself instead. It has nothing to do with other people’s opinions nor the ‘rules’ we hear about what we ‘should’ be wearing.

I coach my clients that true style confidence comes when your clothes reflect you…your personality, your energy, your story and your aspirations.

That’s the heart behind my latest blog - The Confidence Shift When You Dress for Yourself.

It’s also the reason I’ve launched Confidence Conversations…a new social feature based upon reflections from the studio and dedicated to helping women reconnect with confidence, self-expression and personal style in midlife.

If you’ve ever questioned what you ‘should’ wear… this blog is for you. Yup…I’ve popped the link below. 🤭

But…before you go, what’s the one thing you would love to wear if you stopped worrying what others think?

Have a great new week.

Welcome to Confidence Conversations…where I share some reflections from the studio…

“I’ve spent years dressing for everybody else”…is a recurring theme I hear during the time I share with clients.

Somewhere along the line, practicality, invisibility or lifestyle changes dent our confidence and self-doubt can quietly take over.

Reclaiming our personal style often has very little to do with fashion trends but everything to do with reconnecting with ourselves.

Ask yourself what YOU love to wear, what do you enjoy wearing on repeat and slowly your own preferences will begin to tell you.

How about taking the time and spend time dressing to please your own body?

My latest blog released next week explores this in greater detail.
