One candle. One year. One big pivot.

If I’m honest, neither I nor Neat Narrative Design are anywhere near where I want them to be yet. We are and always will be very much be a work in progress. Brands can't stay still!!!

But this year has been about an evolution: Moving from "Graphic Designer" to "Strategic Brand Partner". Waiting until you’ve "arrived" to celebrate is a trap. This cake represents the late nights, the steep learning curves, and the win of finally finding the right path.

Success isn't an empire yet, it's the fact that we're here, we’re focused, and I’m enjoying the build.

To everyone who’s been part of Chapter One: A HUGE thank you. Now, it's time to eat the cake and get to work on Year Two.

Ok so, according to gov.uk:

'The Government Digital Sustainability Alliance’s (GDSA) report highlights that AI is predicted to lead to an increase in global water usage from 1.1bn to 6.6bn cubic metres by 2027. This is equivalent to more than half of the UK’s total water usage.'

Now, I know a lot of it is coffee, but I certainly don't get anywhere near the recommended 3.7Litres I'm supposed to be consuming every day...

I have a confession: I want for to be a success.

I’m not one of those founders who’s "just here for the journey" or "scaling for the synergy." I actually want the growth, the reputation, and, ideally, a slightly better biscuits for the office. (Not that there's anything wrong with a Digestive!)(Other brands are available)

But I’ve run into a bit of a design flaw in my business model.

I’ve realised that I literally cannot win unless you do first. It’s a bit of a nuisance, really. For a narrative designer like me to look even remotely competent, I need to be surrounded by brands that are already solid, thriving, and making a bit of noise. I can't grow in a void!

Essentially, I’m rooting for your success for purely selfish reasons. If your brand is winning, the ecosystem is better for mine.

If we haven’t worked together, I’m not going to do the usual LinkedIn sales pitch. I’d just like to hear why your brand is actually working.

I’m setting aside out a few 15-minute blocks over the next few weeks for some "no-agenda" chats.

• You tell me why your brand is solid. You’ve got this far, so you clearly have the answers already.

• There no catch. I’m not here to tell you what’s "wrong." I’d just like to offer a fresh pair of eyes on how that success looks from the outside.

• Shorter than a coffee, significantly more useful.

Putting Our Heads Together

They say two heads are better than one. Of course, that depends on the heads, but when it’s your industry expertise meeting my strategic branding brain, magic happens.

The best brands aren't built in a vacuum or by a "lone genius" staring at a mood board. They’re built in that collaborative sweet spot where your vision meets my strategy. New Chapter: Strategy meets Sound.

I’m extremely excited to finally share that I’ve expanded my professional horizons. Moving forward, I am officially operating as both a Strategic Brand Partner and a DJ & Music Producer.

Now, at first glance, brand strategy and music production might seem worlds apart. But at their core, they are both about the same thing: Making a Connection.

As a Strategic Brand Partner: I help businesses find their voice, align with the right partners, and most importantly, tell their story.

As a DJ/Producer: I curate environments, evoke emotion, and build energy through sound.

Whether I’m building a brand framework or producing a track, my goal is to create something that resonates.
