I Built My First Website… And Immediately Regretted My Life Choices

Picture this: I’ve spent days—no, weeks—perfecting my website. Carefully chosen fonts. A colour palette that screams professional yet approachable. Even a few fancy animations because, well, why not?

Feeling smug, I hit publish. Sit back. Wait for the enquiries to roll in.

…Nothing.

Not a single booking. Not a single email. Not even a courtesy click from a relative.

At one point, I tried navigating it myself and honestly? Even I got a bit lost. Turns out, “looking nice” doesn’t mean “actually working.” Who knew?

So, after an appropriate amount of sighing dramatically into a cup of tea, I scrapped it and started properly, this time with a plan. And shockingly, that made all the difference.
