Hi everyone, Ritchie here - owner of Gecho Agency. A note below about our time in business so far.
Six years in business this month.
All I ever set out to do was build a business which would give me the freedom to work when I choose.
As soon as my daughter was born in October 2020, I knew I wanted to spend as much time as I could with her. During the early years I attended many parent-child classes, soft plays, sunny afternoons at the beach, appointments and much more.
Our business has just two people – it has been that way for a while. Since starting up I have considered hiring and growing. But, in short, it didn’t ever feel worth it. During the first year I built relationships with other agencies and membership groups which has given us a steady pipeline of work for some five years now.
I feel grateful to say that this business has delivered what I hoped it would: the freedom to choose how I spend my time.
So, what next? Where do I go from here?
Well, I will continue building our client base. And maybe, just maybe, look to launch another business to complement Gecho Agency in the coming year. More on that another time.
