Hello, my name’s Tara, welcome to my Agency. 👋🏼

TLB Socials was created to combine my passions for social media and supporting small Cornish businesses. I have lived in Cornwall all my life, as well as my family for multiple generations, so we are proud to be Cornish!

Social media has always been a place I’ve felt at home, and been second nature to me, whether that’s growing the social media channels for multiple businesses, or my own accounts. I enjoy keeping up with different algorithms and trends so I can optimise the online presence of small businesses to allow them to reach new audiences and increase sales. This includes developing my personal Instagram account to nearly 25,000 followers, with modelling and fashion-related content, but also including my other passion – horses and the countryside. I have modelled in Gran Canaria, Alicante and London, as well as around Cornwall.

I have also always had a love for business; buying and selling, and the fundamentals around running a company. This started back in the COVID-19 lockdowns, when I started my own self-taught press-on nail business from my bedroom at the age of 16, whilst studying a Biomedical Science Diploma. I advertised the business on Instagram and Facebook, then closed it to focus on buying and selling second hand clothes on Vinted, and learning photography.

Fast forward five years… I now spend my free time researching social media trends and techniques, and ensuring that my knowledge is up-to-the-minute in this fast-changing area. IN addition to my own photography skills, I work with other photographers and videographers, plus graphic designers and copywriters where necessary, to ensure that my clients get the best professionals working on their online presence.

My knowledge is focussed on the fashion, wedding and beauty sectors, and I love working with clothing brands to help sell the lifestyle they’re creating, and with salons (hair, nails, skincare etc) to promote the services they offer.

I’m what they call a Digital Native and grew up surrounded with social media.

Your social media channels should be working hard for you, and their performance can be calculated in many ways: how many followers you have gained? How many bookings you have received? Etc.

A great way to manage this and ensure your social media strategy is correct, is by looking at your analytics. These can be found on your Instagram profile, and similarly with other channels.

In Instagram, the aim is to have a higher percentage of non- followers to followers viewing your account. This means your content is being shown to new people, which spreads your business’s awareness. The percentage in green, in this case 216%, shows how much your analytics have increased from the previous month.
