But this week we’ve hit the ground running, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.

This year, we’re focused on doing what we love most: helping YOU shine. Whether that means creating scroll-stopping campaigns, producing incredible events, or just being the extra brainpower you need — we’re here for it.

After a crazy busy (but rewarding) end to 2024 the break over Christmas has definitely given us the chance to recharge, reflect, and indulge in waaaaaay too much chocolate 😬 - it’s all fun and games until your jeans don’t fit huh! But this week we’ve hit the ground running, and we couldn’t be more excited for what’s to come.

Have you spotted one yet?

Fluffy, yellow, busy buzzy generally good beings - they conjure up images of sunny summer afternoons.

So why are we writing about the fluffy bumblebee on a not-so-sunny Friday?

Did you know they play a vital role in pollinating a variety of crops which contribute a third of our food! Without them the food we rely on would be much harder to grow and produce.

As we approach Earth Day tomorrow we’ve been thinking about sustainability and what we can do to make a difference.

In the last few months, we’ve had the pleasure of working with the Bumblebee Conservation Trust and through that work have learnt a huge amount about how we, as individuals, can help improve their habitat.

So, we’ve pledged a few simple changes in our lives to help them.

#1 Let the dandelions grow in our garden
#2 We’ll both plant some wild flowers seeds
#3 We’re planning on adding lots of lavender to our garden
#4 We’re embracing the weeds in our gardens (this one isn’t actually that hard!)
#5 We’re reevaluating our garden space with the Bee Kind tool from the Bumblebee Conservation Trust: https://beekind.bumblebeeconservation.org/

It has been so nice for us to have some time-out with the children over the Easter holidays.

Really switching off can be difficult but when you’re in beautiful Cornwall or sunny Devon, on the beach, with very little reception, it’s made a whole lot easier! And it feels really good when you do. So both re-energised after a tonne of fresh air and chocolate, we’re ready to get back at it.

Vanilla Ice summed it up for us nicely! 😃

It’s been great this week to make some amazing new connections at the networking groups we’ve been to. Meeting other professionals working in the same industry is so liberating - we’re not competitors, we’re collaborators.

We’ve always surrounded ourselves with talented people but we have a growing network of even more experts we can call on, share ideas with, pose questions to, mutually support and drink coffee with! 😊

Open AI.

Its uses are seemingly endless, although it can’t yet take the dog for a walk. But give it time!

Some of the technological developments in AI are mind-blowing right now. But we need to use it as a tool in our marketing set, not a replacement for a great marketer.

As with anything, the results will only ever be as good as what you feed it. So consider your creative assets, your prompts and how you train it to optimise your content. It will never replace a real person but can help as a start point.

We enjoyed our pancakes last night, smothered in Lotus Biscoff spread! 😋. And now our thoughts have turned to what we are giving up for the next 40 days.

Yes. Chocolate. Alcohol. Nice stuff. Boo. 😥

But we thought we’d turn it on its head and suggest 3 things to definitely keep doing in the next few weeks from a marketing perspective - even when you’re time-pressed.

#1. Listening. Customers who feel heard and valued are more likely to become loyal advocates for your brand.

#2. Building your community. Treat your community like a network - the value is where there is in interaction not just a one stop broadcast.

#3. Showing your true self. The person or people behind the brand. Customers are always more likely to engage where they can see a brand is genuine and that they can connect with.
