Be kind to people who apply for you.

Whoever speaks to the candidates that apply for ‘Care Assistant’ or ‘Support Worker’ roles with your care company has a huge responsibility.

They are literally representing everything you have set up and worked your a*se for.

So the question I want to ask you is;

For 5.5 years now, my amazing wife Rosanne Forster has been my biggest supporter of my business and what we’ve set out to achieve for UK and Ireland care companies.

She left her successful career as a Midwife to join my team and help me grow the business.

Having her by my side every step of the way has been a huge source of comfort to me.

Not just because it’s amazing having her do lots of responsibilities, but having her enthusiasm, guidance and support has saved me and the business on more than one occasion.

I simply would not be able to carry on running a business without her.

We should all go out of our way thank the people closest to us.

Whether that’s in business, love or friendships.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to meet the amazing team over at Paperworks in Leeds.

I was completely blown away by the value that the team here are adding to the UK care industry.

The charity enhances work skills and wellbeing for adults with learning and physical disabilities, autism and mental health needs, who they call Trainees.

Thank you to Jo Forsey and Rachel for giving me a guided tour and I’m really excited to get down to work and help grow your team ☺️📈

📈 What is your advertising cost per hire for hiring Care Assistant’s and Support Workers?

👉 Cost per hire is calculated by the amount of money you spend on advertising against how how many people you have hired AND have STARTED to work for you.

E.g. if you spent £1000 in February and you hired 5 staff, your cost per hire = £200.00

If you master the job advert, you’ll have a head start over all of your competitors.

It needs to be made clear to ALL care organisations that Indeed is there to:

✅ Show people your job adverts.
✅ Make it easy for people to apply to work for you.
✅ Be a user friendly experience
✅ Help care companies to be able to quickly contact people who’ve applied for jobs.
✅ Search and headhunt people.
✅ Help with branding your care company with images and videos.

It is NOT a platform that will:

❌ Call candidates for you.
❌ Make sure people start working on rota for you.

👉 More and more care companies are struggling to hire and retain care staff in the current social and economic climate.

SO STOP BLAMING OTHERS FOR YOUR RECRUITMENT PROBLEMS 🤬

1️⃣ CALL candidates who’ve applied - you do NOT need to arrange a call.

2️⃣ Leave a VOICEMAIL if the person doesn’t answer.

3️⃣ Send a templated EMAIL on Indeed.

4️⃣ Send a TEXT message saying you’ve called.

5️⃣ The candidate with either call you back or message you back at a more convenient time to speak.

6️⃣ 10 minute phone screen.

7️⃣ Book in a face to face interview.

8️⃣ You should be hiring 80% + of people who attend your face to face interviews.

9️⃣ Grow and amazing, happy workforce.

🔟 Repeat the above steps daily.
