We hear so many people rave about this Somerset location and so on today’s hot day we just said let’s go! No “maybes” just let’s do it!

Wimberball Lake is absolutely stunning and well worth the £16 to launch our own paddle board. This includes parking too.

Only catch: we didn’t know you had to have 3rd party insurance and fill out forms for each individual. Once that was sorted we headed out on the water and enjoyed hours of fun with the family.

No paddle board? You can hire one!
Though we highly recommend bringing your own as renting is just 1 hour whereas launching is til 4pm.

Did we spot the beaver? We are so lucky to live in this countryside and if you’re visiting Somerset and exploring Exmoor areas you should definitely look out for the areas where wildlife could be spotted! And of course visit the local businesses.
