Sometimes your organization needs more than another tool, another meeting, or another quick fix.

AI should give you capacity and not just another tool to learn.

Saturday reminded me why I love being in rooms with business owners.

I had the privilege of facilitating an AI for Smarter Business workshop with the All Women Entrepreneurship Circuit (AWEC) Canada community, and my goal was simple:

Make AI practical enough that people could leave the room and actually use it.

So we started with one question:

Where is your time actually going?

Then we got practical.

We explored prompting, real business use cases, automation, workflows, and how AI can support the everyday work of running and growing a business.

And we practised together.

One comment made me smile:

“You made AI feel so simple and fun.”

And from someone already using AI:

“I thought I knew how to prompt until today.” 😄

That’s the part I love.

For years, my work with small and mid-sized businesses has involved using technology, automation, workflows and systems to create greater operational capacity.

AI simply adds another powerful layer.

Because the opportunity isn’t just to use AI.

It’s to use it intentionally to save time, improve how work moves, create capacity, and give business owners more room to focus on growth, customers and the work that truly needs them.

The successful program gets celebrated.

The partnership gets announced.

The event happens.

The client sees the finished result.

The organization keeps growing.

But behind those moments?

There’s usually a whole world of work happening quietly.

The planning.

The follow-ups.

The conversations that create alignment.

The process that needed to be figured out.

The workflow that keeps something from falling through the cracks.

The document that finally gets everyone on the same page.

The problem that gets solved before it becomes a bigger one.

And the dozens of small decisions that keep the work moving.

I’ve realized over the years that this is where I really enjoy working.

I love strategy.

And, I also love getting close enough to the work to help make the strategy real.

Looking at how things currently operate.
Finding what could work better.
Building the process.
Setting up the workflow.
Creating clarity around ownership.
Coordinating the moving pieces.

And staying close enough to implementation to see it actually work.

Because sometimes the biggest difference I make in an organization may never appear in the final photo.

You simply notice that things feel clearer.

Work moves better.

People know what they own.

Leadership has more visibility.

And there’s greater capacity to grow.

That’s the kind of work I love doing.

This is the kind of Friday feeling I want for every founder and leader I work with. 😌

Knowing the priorities are clear.

Knowing your team understands what they own.

Knowing the work is moving, even when you’re not the one moving it.

Knowing you can see what’s happening without being involved in every detail.

And having enough capacity to actually lead, think, build relationships, and focus on what’s next.

That kind of ease usually has something intentional behind it:

Clear strategy. Aligned people. Strong processes. Connected workflows. Supportive systems.

That’s the work I help growing organizations build, and I work alongside your team to implement it, not simply recommend what should change.

At some point, you have to become comfortable being misunderstood. 😂

Some people will understand the vision.
Some will be inspired by it.
Some will have their own opinions.

Meanwhile
 you have work to do.

Keep building.
Keep evolving.
Keep showing up for the vision you believe in.

Because growth gets a lot easier when you stop needing everyone to understand where you’re going.

Your assignment requires your focus, not everybody’s approval.
