The story of the Bible begins in a garden and ends with a city - yet it’s not a city like we know. It’s one free of crime, crying and cruelty. Until then, we live ‘between times’ enjoying the beauty of human creativity and flourishing while waiting for the day when sorrow and sadness are ended for good. Our logo aims to be like a window that reminds readers to see the ordinary moments of their lives as all being part of a greater story that we are all invited to be a part of.��It was a pleasure to work with the Chalmers Institute and to produce a logo that celebrates human creativity and flourishing with possibly the most detail we’ve ever packed into a logo!

We’ve loved working with JK Thomson on the launch of their new premium smoked salmon packaging.

A family-run business based in Musselburgh for over 60 years, JKT wanted a pack that felt refined, premium, and proudly Scottish. The final design combines subtle fish illustrations in the background, embossed detailing, and silver foiling to help elevate the product on shelf while still feeling rooted in the brand’s heritage.

For the Hold Fast Challenge rebrand, we designed a website that reflects the mindset at the heart of the brand: resilient, adventurous, and unapologetically bold. Using the refreshed colour palette and breaking away from traditional boxed-in layouts, we created an experience that feels energetic and unconstrained.

Rhian joined the team in September and she’s already brought so much to Ocho! Rhian has an incredible skill for illustration and photography which she worked on at Uni, studying illustration, as well as putting her skills into practice as a wedding photographer!

Rhian has been working in the background, bringing out heaps of personality in our client’s projects and fresh ideas from a different perspective and always being up for giving things a go!

A lot goes into a logo — and often, the simplest marks require the most thought...

When designing the identity for Scottish Fire Pit Co, we wanted it to sit confidently alongside the premium outdoor brands they stock, like YETI and Ooni, while still feeling distinctive in its own right.

The flame within the “O” became a key part of that story. It’s intentionally rough and organic — inspired by the idea that outdoor cooking, gathering, and creating memorable moments rarely go perfectly to plan… and that’s exactly where the fun is.

Beyond creating a logo, the goal was to build a flexible brand element that could grow into a wider visual identity and help Scottish Fire Pit Co tell their story across every touchpoint.

A brilliant project to get stuck into — exploring typography, symbolism, and simplicity in a way that feels both rugged and refined. We loved working with the team on this one, and we’ll be sharing more from the project soon

Stoked to share a recent bit of work with you!

We were delighted to work with Will and Al who founded the Scottish Fire Pit Co. to design a striking, simple and intentional logo. Their brand is all about sharing their love for outdoor cooking in Scotland. The brand celebrates the simple things in life done well; getting together with friends and loved ones and cooking quality, locally sourced ingredients with nothing but wood charcoal and a bit of fire! 🔥

So we built a shoot day at the V&A Dundee around exactly that idea: clarity, confidence, and seeing familiar spaces in a new way.

Our role was to shape visuals that feel personal to Accord’s work and rooted in the city they serve.
Tailored scenes. Real movement. A model who helped us demonstrate the everyday moments where good vision makes all the difference.
