‘Pinterest doesn’t work for me’

The most common phrase I hear and see across social media ALL the time!

Pinterest has become my no 1 traffic driver on my personal account🙌🏻Here’s 5 other myths that might be blocking you from investing time into Pinterest.

1. It’s only useful when planning a wedding - whilst Pinterest is a place for inspiration, tips and new ideas, it’s NOT just for wedding planning. One third of millennials use Pinterest to plan for the future, from career planning, business ideas to planning a vacation.

2. Pinterest is just for women - wrong again. Whilst they may not make up as large of a market share as women, men are seeing the widespread appeal of Pinterest. As Pinterest caters to a variety of diverse interests.

3. You can’t use hashtags on Pinterest - this is a long ongoing debate/myth. Whilst hashtags don’t work in the same way as other platforms, hashtags are a new way to reach users interested in your content. You should add no more than 20 and post them at the time of pinning. Adding them back on historically doesn’t work.

4. Follower count is the most important metric - follower count is anything but a vanity metric. If you’re focusing on traffic and sales, impressions, pin saves and link clicks are the most important. You don’t have to have a ton of followers to achieve this.

5. You have to pay to get traffic - you can gain a ton of traffic through organic pinning. It’s all about consistency, consistency, consistency and lots of original content!

Why bagels? 🥯

Whilst it is absolutely 100% true that I’m very partial to a bagel, (I am a millennial, OK), there really is more behind the meaning of Bagel Digital.

When you’re looking at e-commerce and marketing as a whole, there are so many different assets that fall underneath the e-commerce umbrella. Some that work hand in hand with one another and others that are stand alone.

Demonstrating different elements that go into growing the e-commerce machine that is your business, is just the same as the fillings that construct the perfect, juiciest bagel🥯
