Some products simply get me really excited, and I had to share my thoughts on the latest release from House of Colour: the new Cream Blush Sticks!

It was a glorious 31∘C in Rome, and that was my cue to finally live in all my beautiful summer dresses! They're the ones I adore but always feel too chilly in during a York summer. 😅

I made a conscious choice to pack mainly dresses to really embrace the feminine spirit of my Romantic Ingenue style essence. It felt so good! Plus, I absolutely love the array of summer season colours I've built up over the years. I genuinely felt happy getting dressed every day, enjoyed picking my jewellery, and—the ultimate satisfaction—I wore everything I packed! 🙌

This was a city walking trip, so my shoes were all about comfort and practicality. Accessories were simple, but always true to my style.

I know, I know... I go on about this, but it's true: knowing your best colours and style essence truly makes everything easier and more enjoyable, especially when packing!

I don’t know about you, but for me, I'm treating September as a bit of a fresh start...(prepare to see a few more than 3 social posts from me this year!). September has those lovely moments when the buzz of summer starts to wind down and there’s a quiet promise of a new season in the air.

This feeling got me thinking about our wardrobes. As we get ready to step into autumn here in York, are your clothes bringing you joy and confidence? Or are they feeling a little tired, like they need a supportive hug and a helping hand?

I'm finding it so hard to post after months of quiet socials from me... Instagram isn't my natural place, and nothing seems to beat the pictures and happiness from my wedding day, it really was just so incredible!

Since then though, life has been happily plodding on. I've had a wonderful trip to the Lake District with my husband (that's right, husband! How exciting!), a trip to Cordoba in Spain to see my eldest brother and sister-in-law and I've been looking after and worrying about my poorly doggy who has had some issues with his claw.

I've also had the busiest month of my business to date. That means I've had the privilege to meet so many wonderful people these last few months and help them grow their confidence with colour and style. I really do love what I do.

This week I've got quite a few new people in for colour analysis, and then excitingly I'll be at Uniqlo Manchester this weekend for a colour analysis discovery event!

It's all happening and I'll try and share more 😁

Colour consultations are more than just discovering which shades suit us best. They delve deeper, helping us connect with our inner self-image and fostering confidence and excitement that remind us of our worth.

Reflecting on an incredible week at House of Colour York!

This week has been filled with amazing moments and transformations. One of the highlights was reconnecting with a long-time client for a check-in on her colours and a makeup review. It’s been such a joy to see her confidence bloom over the years and to help her refine her look even further.

I also had the privilege of working with style clients, guiding them to discover what truly matters to them in their wardrobe. Watching them realise how their clothes can be a powerful reflection of their unique personalities was truly heartwarming. 👗💖

And of course, my colour analysis sessions were nothing short of magical. Seeing the smiles and newfound confidence when clients see how beautiful they look in their perfect colours is why I love what I do. The right colours can truly make you feel like the best version of yourself! 🌈

Thank you to all my wonderful clients for trusting me on your journey to discovering your most authentic and vibrant selves. Here’s to many more fabulous transformations!

On a personal note, this week is exciting from a wedding prep front. I've had my first bridal fitting (so exciting!) and this afternoon, after my two ladies in for colour, I'm heading out with Nick to hopefully find our wedding rings. Whatever your weekend has ahead, I hope you have a great one!
