Are you building an email list for your business? 📧

If the answer is no, it might be time to start.

Social media is brilliant, but algorithms change, reach goes up and down and ultimately, you don’t own your followers.

Your email list is different.

It gives you a direct way to stay in touch with people who have already shown an interest in your business.

Regular newsletters can help you:

📧 Stay front of mind with potential and existing customers
💬 Build trust and relationships over time
✨ Share news, advice, offers and new services
💻 Drive people back to your website
🛍️ Encourage repeat bookings or purchases
📈 Turn subscribers into customers

And you don’t need to find the time to do it all yourself.

I can help with setting up your email marketing, building your subscriber list and creating and sending regular newsletters that actually sound like your business.

Because your marketing shouldn’t stop once someone leaves your website or scrolls past your post.

Want to start making more of email marketing? Drop us a message and let’s chat. 🤍

Meta has made another change — and if you use Facebook to drive people to your website, booking page or online shop, you need to know about this one. 👀

Some Facebook business Pages are now being limited to just TWO organic posts or comments containing links per month unless they subscribe to Meta One.

Yep. Two. A MONTH.

And putting your link in the comments isn't necessarily a workaround either — those can count towards the allowance too.

So, is paying for Meta One worth it?

For some businesses, potentially. If Facebook is a major source of website traffic or sales, having more clickable links could be useful.

But for many small businesses? I'm not convinced I'd rush to pay purely for the ability to add more links.

Instead, this is another reminder that our social media strategy needs to be about more than constantly sending people away from the platform.

Think useful content, engaging posts, strong calls to action, Stories, messages — and being more strategic about when you use those precious links.

And most importantly... don't rely entirely on a platform you don't own.

Your website and your email list are yours. Facebook isn't.

Have you had the 2-link limit appear on your business Page yet? 👇

If I only had 15 minutes a day to market my business, this is EXACTLY what I’d do… ⏰

You don’t always need hours to work on your marketing. Give me 15 focused minutes and I’d split them like this:

5 MINUTES — GET VISIBLE 📱
Engage with potential customers, other local businesses and accounts in your industry. Leave genuine comments, reply to Stories and start conversations.

3 MINUTES — SHOW UP 👋
Post a quick Story. What are you working on today? Share a behind-the-scenes moment, a customer review, a product, a tip or simply remind people what you do.

3 MINUTES — FOLLOW UP 💬
Reply to comments, messages and enquiries. Check back in with anyone you’ve spoken to who might be interested in working with you.

2 MINUTES — BUILD TRUST ⭐
Ask for a review, share an existing testimonial or interact with one of your previous customers.

2 MINUTES — CHECK YOUR MARKETING 📈
Look at what’s working. Which posts are getting engagement? Are people visiting your website? What are people clicking on or asking about?

That’s it. 15 minutes.

Marketing doesn’t always need to be a huge task you keep putting off.

Small actions + consistency = keeping your business visible.

Save this and give it a go tomorrow. 🤍

Do you actually know which parts of your marketing are working?

It’s easy to get caught up in posting, emailing, updating your website, networking and trying ALL the things…

But if you’re not tracking the results, how do you know what’s actually bringing you business?

Start looking at things like:

📱 Which social posts get the most engagement, saves and shares
💻 Where your website visitors are coming from
🔍 What people are searching for to find you
📧 Which emails are being opened and clicked
🔗 Which pages people visit on your website
🛒 Where your enquiries or sales are coming from
📈 Which marketing activities are actually giving you a return

And don’t forget one of the simplest questions…

“How did you hear about us?”

Your marketing data can tell you what to do MORE of, what needs improving and where you might be wasting your time or money.

Because good marketing shouldn’t just be about constantly doing more.

It should be about understanding what’s working — and doing more of THAT. 🤍

Posting on social media is NOT a marketing strategy.

It’s part of one.

Social media is brilliant for building visibility, showing your personality and staying in front of your audience — but it shouldn’t be the only place you market your business.

A strong marketing mix could include:

📱 Social media to build relationships and stay visible
💻 A website that turns interest into enquiries or sales
🔍 Google and SEO to help people find you when they’re actively searching
📧 Email marketing to stay connected with your existing audience
📄 Flyers, brochures, business cards and other print
📍 Networking, events, collaborations and local visibility
⭐ Reviews and recommendations to build trust

You don’t need to do ALL of these at once.

But if your entire marketing plan is “I need to post something on Instagram today”… it might be time to look at the bigger picture.

The best marketing strategies use different channels to work together — so your business isn't relying on one platform to bring in customers.

And remember… you don’t own your social media following. You DO own your website and email list. 🤍

When you pay someone to build your website, you’re not just paying for a few pages put together online.

There’s a LOT happening behind the scenes.

You’re paying for things like…

💻 Planning the structure and user journey
🎨 Designing a website that fits your brand
📱 Making sure it works properly across mobiles and tablets
🔍 Setting up the SEO foundations so Google can understand your site
📩 Creating and testing contact/enquiry forms
📊 Setting up analytics so you can see how your website is performing
🔒 Security, SSL and essential technical setup
⚡ Performance and functionality checks
🔗 Checking links, buttons and calls to action
🧪 Testing everything before it goes live

And, of course, the years of experience that go into knowing how all of those pieces fit together.

A professional website shouldn’t just look good.

It should represent your business, make life easy for your potential customers and help turn visitors into enquiries or sales.

That’s what you’re really investing in. 🤍

Your logo is NOT your brand.

It’s part of it… but good branding goes much further than that.

Your brand is:

🎨 The colours you use
✍️ Your fonts and typography
📸 Your photography and imagery
💬 Your tone of voice
📱 How you show up on social media
💻 How your website looks and feels
📄 Your printed marketing materials
✨ And, most importantly, how consistently it all works together

Think about some of the brands you instantly recognise. Often, you know who they are before you’ve even seen their logo.

That’s the power of consistent branding.

It helps your business look professional, become recognisable and gives people a clear feeling of who you are and what you’re about.

So yes, your logo matters.

But your brand is the whole picture. 🤍

Does your branding still represent the business you are today?

Want to give your social media a little push? 📱

It’s not always about posting more. Sometimes it’s the small things you do consistently that can make the biggest difference.

Here are 5 things you can do every day:

1️⃣ Engage with other accounts
Don’t just scroll! Like, comment and genuinely interact with other businesses, customers and accounts in your community.

2️⃣ Reply to your comments
Someone has taken the time to engage with your content, so engage back. Keep the conversation going!

3️⃣ Show up on Stories
You don’t need anything polished. Share what you’re working on, behind the scenes, a quick tip or simply what your day looks like.

4️⃣ Engage before AND after you post
Spend 5–10 minutes interacting with others rather than posting and immediately disappearing.

5️⃣ Check what’s actually working
Which posts are getting saves, shares, comments or clicks? Do more of what your audience is responding to.

You don’t need to spend hours on social media every day.

A little bit of consistent, intentional activity can go a long way. 🤍

Save this one and try doing all 5 each day this week!
