A few things:

1. It’s on the upper floor and outdoors (it rains a lot in Manchester)

Most manufacturing leaders underestimate the effort needed to win a new customer account already served by a competitor.

The reality: Research across B2B shows 7–21 touch points are needed before a prospect feels ready to talk and replace someone they are currently working with.

In manufacturing, that number is probably closer to 20 because of the gestation period, tight specification and cost / nervousness to switch.

If an incumbent supplier has been in place more than three years, the likelihood of switching drops below 20% unless a compelling event happens.

What does this mean?

You don’t win new customers with a brochure, two LinkedIn posts and a snazzy landing page!

You win them with a consistent, planned, persistent marketing and communications engine.

Be in control of your own destiny.
